This is a really lovely reserve with a good surfaced trail which takes you along the river, and through the reed bed. There is also a short board walk which cuts through the reed bed as a short cut. You can of course hear the...More

Lovely area to walk around in the city, fees like you are in the middle of nowhere. Great for wildlife spotting on your walk.

We stumbled upon this enchanting nature reserve whilst out for a stroll. Clearly defined paths and boardwalks enable all to access this delightful place. In just a short period of time the city fades away, leaving one to enjoy the wildlife which is abundantly present....More

Well maintained paths, clear water and wonderful plants and wildlife. A little isolated, probably best to choose a busier time if walking on your own.

This nature reserve is within walking distance of the city centre, yet feels so far removed from it. Well kept, with out being overly "manicured", it provides a beautifully peaceful place to walk and see nature. Get there on a weekday and you will come...More

One the best part of town. Saw a pike, some salmons swimming, birds, a little mouse in the water, lovely day out with my girlfriend.

You don't NEED to spend four hours wandering through this wonderful Nature Reserve, but you will probably end up doing just that. It's large and full of so many different kinds of wildlife. On entering we immediately spotted a Tree Creeper, then as we were...More
