The name can be misleading "The Butter cross" is actually made from stone! You will have no joy trying to spread this monument on some bread or toast! You would break your teeth and be prosecuted for vandalism if you try to eat a bit...More

Nice to have some history but it was not as good as I thought it would be. It could of been better pointed out with a information also. Still nice to look at for a few seconds before you continue your walk up town.

Was walking along High Street and nearly didn't see this! Very cool piece of history, but I do wish there was more information about it somewhere nearby.
