This delightful area of Hampshire forms an early (or late!) part of the South Downs Way. We were lucky enough to walk it on a warm clear day, which with the relatively easy walking allowed us to fully appreciate the great views.

What a gorgeous place to spend an hour or so in the late afternoon. Spectacular views (although a bit cloudy while we were there. The information suggested 2 hrs needed - it didn't take us that long, an easy walk and very enjoyable.

Enjoyed a walk along the ridge of Old Winchester Hill in the sunshine, with great views of the surrounding downs & Portsmouth and Isle of Wight in the distance. Lots of interesting flaura & fauna, & explanatory boards provided to show what to look out...More

What a great Hampshire vista this is. With views over the valley from the moment you leave the car park, and an easy mile walk to reach the Iron Age hill fort. And from there, more views... 360 this time, and all the way across...More

The scenery is just beautiful. On a lovely clear sunny day, this is a wonderful place to visit. Great for dog walking too.

what a great place to be for a walk or relaxation. You can wallow in the tranquility, see the birds or prey soaring, look at the flowers, or keep fit on one of the many walks. Well recommended

You can access Winchester Hill from 2 sides. A 1hr walk from Exton through beautiful fields, streams and chalkland hills will get you to the Iron Age fort from the East. Using the Old Winchester Hill car park (no parking charges) is the better choice...More

One of the most beautiful places in Hampshire with magnificent views of the surrounding downs and valleys. Well worth the easy 1km walk from the carpark to the Neolithic site. It is beautiful in all seasons but especially so in the Spring. A place you...More

My first visit but I am sure I will be back! An enjoyable walk, taking in the Neolithic fort. Great views and a quiet spot. We fortunate enough to see a red kite which was a real bonus!
