We were the only visitors on a weekday. The gardens are interesting but have a neglected feel to them. Maybe this is the look that was intended but I found it a bit depressing. The setting is spectacular and the exterior of the house is impressive, but the gardens were quite overgrown.

Came across this place completely by accident while out biking with friends. We were slightly lost and in need of a stop when we spotted the "Tea room open" sign. We didn't have time to check out the gardens but the tea room in what I'm guessing were stables was lovely. Quiet, light, airy, fancy chairs, with fine china and... More

Our fourth or fifth visit to this lovely quiet, spacious garden characterised by interesting herbaceous and veggie planting and very subtle use of colour. Those who work there are welcoming and generous with their time. The cakes alone are worth the journey! Ladies' loos a must see.

This is just the most amazing garden. The gardener (Tristan) aided only by one volunteer (his mother) has created a wonderful space. We went at the end of June and the herbaceous border were at their best. The planting is sophisticated and works for the plantsman and for the casual visitor. Add in a great vegetable garden, a garden machinery... More

Interesting place (went there for a wedding a while back and revisited recently), but not so interesting that I would recommend a special journey. Plenty of rival interests in the southern Marches (Grosmont etc) which deserve a visit first

We have been a couple of times including one when we stayed in the house itself. Jan and Rosie are wonderful friendly hosts and very passionate about the history of the Court. Gardens are wonderful. The deer were in velvet on this visit. Very stunning. Will visit again

One of the best I've visited, a huge variety of perennials, loved by bees and butterflies. Gardener friendly and helpful. Plants all well cared for, many for sale and are extremely good value for money.

We were passing through Kentchurch last Sunday when we saw the signs at the gates of Kentchurch Court saying the gardens were open.We didn't realise that they closed at 5 p.m and felt a bit guilty after we drove up to the car-park and saw the sign..A really nice young woman on a motorbike heading into the house approached us... The NT do not own every country house with great gardens. This simple but well managed plot offers plenty of scope to sit and contemplate. Lovely borders mid summer. No refreshments. We've been a few times and yet to be organised enough to plan a viewing of the house as it has limited openings. Combine this with a walk up... More

What a wonderful venue and a truly magical experience. We were entranced by the architecture and the service.
