First visit to this racecourse and we received a warm welcome in the Rusty Bridge restaurant. Staff were attentive and the 3 course lunch was good. Very easy to access the paddock, bookmakers etc. Excellent viewing. Would definitely visit again.

Much better than my last visit. First time as an owner and have to say everyone did as much as they could to be friendly and welcoming. A good crowd appeared very pleased to be back to something like normal although proper measures still in place such as hand sanitiser and other covid related requirements as needed still.
Heading in the right direction.

I was so impressed with the team at Hereford Racecourse, from booking my tickets online and getting assistance to add another ticket later on. On the day we attended we had booked general tickets for our first trip and that was lovely but we treated our selves to the Rusty Bridge Silver ticket for our next visit and it was well worth it. The food was amazing the service outstanding and it was lovely to have somewhere warm and dry to base ourselves. We went as a group of friends on both occasions and had the best time. All the staff are so friendly and helpful it was a great days racing on both trips. Lovely setting and a fab day out for all. Cant wait to go back again soon with the girls.

I would recommend Hereford racecourse even if like me your not an avid racehorse, it's a great day out, a flutter and possibly a couple of wins.
Thoroughly recommend it

Together with friends from various locations, we met at Hereford Racecourse for a pre Christmas get together. We had pre booked hospitality in the Rusty Bridge restaurant and found it to be a very pleasant environment, with welcoming hostesses and waiting staff. The two course meal was of a very good quality and served at times to suit the customer. With the table server also taking drink orders it was a very enjoyable experience with no need to queue at the bar.
With a Tote employee visiting the table before each race there was no need to leave the table if you did not wish to do so. With easy access to the paddock and the course, from the Rusty Bridge restaurant, this was genuinely a very good visitor experience. Fully intend to re visit in 2020 and highly recommended.

Im a big NH racing fan and love attending Hereford racecourse. I reviewed the main bits last year but wanted to come back on to tell tripadvisor about something else (see below) but all other things stand - Great viewing, good atmosphere, easy to access parade ring all in a lovely rural setting - No complaints............

HOWEVER the food and drink options are terrible, they've got worse. For your standard average punter, all you get is an overpriced rip off 'burger' van which doesn't sell very much and looks dirty. There is nowhere to even get a pie or anything like that!

The Hummingbird bar i think it is caused is pure carnage and this was on a November Tuesday! There is no clearly signposted area of where to go to get tea/coffee as opposed to beer so you joined the beer queue (as there is a queuing system) and ended up being turned away to go to the tea/coffee queue which is not signedposted/marked and overlaps the beer queue. Couldn't have been anymore confusing if they tried.

The plump grey haired gentleman who served my simple request for 2 teas and a coffee couldnt have been any more miserable if he tried...........we then had a 5 minute wait whilst the drinks were prepared out of sight and bought out by a lady who just slammed the drinks down and said what the order was - We ordered 2 teas and a coffee, lady even checked the bottom of the cup to see what it was...…...yet it still ended up being 3 teas with lids that didn't fit the cups properly. Awful experience and service.

Don't let the bar/food put you off going as it is a good track, but the catering facilities and organsation are absolutely terrible.

Thank you for your review, I'd like to address a couple of the points if I may; The Hummingbird Bar and toilet facilities have been refurbished over the summer and I am sorry that you appear not to have noticed that site improvement. The queuing system, even when busy, we believe aids speedier service and tea and coffee is now served at any till point in the bar, apologies if that was not the case when you visited. We will pick up your comments about the staff and address them. There is a daily briefing for all staff when we can raise some of the points you highlight.

From a purely racing point of view it’s a decent viewing course where you can get really close up to all aspects of a race day. Facilities wise it lacks a fair bit and food options pretty scant today as in burger bar and soup and sandwiches.

Thanks for your review. Hot food and drink, together with other food options, are available in the Paddock Pavilion which overlooks the Parade Ring and also the Hummingbird Bar. Both of these are signed together with details in the Racecard, I am sorry if these were not easily found by yourself. Hopefully if you come racing again you'll know where to find them now. Best wishes.

Our last day in Wales involved a visit just over the English border to Hereford to be with friends who booked the Rusty Bridge restaurant. First impressions good but it went down hill very quick. Restaurant staff did not have a clue. Soup was watered down badly. Mains ok but nothing special and desert orde all wrong plus long waits for drinks. I felt so sorry for our friends who kept apologising to us. The course itself is beautiful but at £100 a ticket for the restaurant it was not worth £5 for the small tasteless portions served by staff with no clue and being frank one or two looked like a good wash needed. To make it worse despite several complaints over service, nobody seemed to care

Thank you for your review, I am sorry that your experience was not as we would have hoped. There were issues with service on 15th October and for that we can only apologise, and assure you that improvements have been made and arrangements changed to prevent the same happening again. The restaurant on 15th October was £75pp (not £100) however we would still expect you to enjoy a fine dining experience regardless of price. It has actually been a sell out for the past two fixtures so I hope if you do come again that you enjoy a better experience. Thank you.
