My first visit to a remarkably friendly course. Everyone I had contact with was genuinely helpful and amiable. The course is quite scenic despite being on the outskirts of the city and it's possible to get really close up to the action on the rails. It's a very compact area and this adds to the "homely" feel of the place. Ample car parking....nice food in Piglet's Pantry...and as an added bonus, the toilets were clean! I've visited all the Midlands racecourses and this one rates very highly. I intend to return soon.

We visited the DINO family race day as we were holidaying in the area and are regular racegoers (Yorkshire - the home of racing). Compared to the tracks we visit in Yorkshire, this one was a shambles from start to finish.

The only good thing about it was the views of the Cathedral in the distance and Welsh hills.

Firstly, we arrived asking for disabled (blue badge) parking space and the parking attended grunted something and pointed to a patch of raised, uneven grass between other cars. I was expecting a actual tarmacked parking space and it made it a bit tricky to get in / out / to / from the car.

Once inside we realized it was compact to say the least. Probably the smallest course i've visited in all honesty and with a fair crowd, there were no seats to relax and rest, which for disabled people is unacceptable.

The disabled toilet in the main block was not RADAR key and couldn't be accessed. The mens toilets didn't have any toilet roll. I have IBD and this made the afternoon stressful and we could only stay for 4 races before having to leave.

Not disability friendly in any way, shape or form.

We bought a racecard. CARD ONLY. We bought what passes as food here which was virtually inedible and cost a small fortune. CARD ONLY. In fact, the only place we found that wasn't card only was the rip off merchant selling bags of kids sweets for which you need to re-mortgage your house in order to buy 2 giant cola bottles and a handful of jelly cherries.

We didn't have to buy them of course, but i think shock just took over and i paid. Rip off merchant should find a respectable job.

I've bought sweets from stalls at many courses and never experienced anything like this bloke. An absolute disgrace. At least he took cash.

I won't be visiting this course again or any course who do not allow you to pay with the currency of the land. CASH. Denying people the choice to pay cash is unlawful as well as a possible contravention of the Equality Act 2010 and should be reviewed by Hereford and changed back to how it was before.

Poorly organised. Family fun day consisted of 1 hour queuing for food, half hour queue for glitter tattoo, queuing for a dirty toilet that had so much loo roll stuffed down it you daren’t flush it and a 2 hour queue for face painting because they had only thought to hire 1 face painter for 300 kids 🤦‍♀️ after all that I saw the last 2 minutes of a race and left with my grumpy kids. Then we queued to get out of the car park! there needed to be more face painters available, more people cleaning loos and if they are going to put on special offers for entrance with pie and drink they need more places serving the pie. there are definitely not enough bars. It was honestly like they had no clue how many tickets they had sold! Literally the only positive thing was the pie tasted pretty good when we eventually got to the end of the queue.

Will not be returning to this racecourse. One public bar open and had to queue for half a hour to get served.
One burger van with luke warm plain burger for £6.50.
Other than pies from a small shed, that was it for choice
£25 entry for this.
When will racing realise that us the paying customers will not put up with being treated like this.
Look at courses like Plumpton who have 3 bars.
3 internal food outlets, a pizza van and burger van and another food van and the price of entry cheaper than this course. And this all on a Monday.
Punters do not put up with this shambolic service from this course, avoid this course

Gloriously sunny spring day. Great racing and it's always nice to get a bit back off the bookies. Relatively small grandstand, bar area and parade ring area. Good atmosphere. Facilities are ok but a little dated and could do with updating and refreshing. Food and drink are readily available but on the pricey side. You would get a better day out if you went on a feature racing fixture day - 6 Nations, Ladies Day or a Family Fun Day etc. The racecourse is approximately 2 miles from the train station/city centre so a long walk, taxi or bus ride is required to get there. No courtesy shuttle bus is laid on by the course but they could consider this.

We visited the racecourse for a birthday celebration on six nations race day.
on arrival at the racecourse we headed for the hospitality suites as we had hired one of these boxes for the day - this was our first time doing this. The experience was fantastic. You have a balcony with a view of the whole racecourse with tote betting outside the door if you don't want to go down near the track.
We had a buffet as part of the package and I must say the food was amazing. Drinks are not included in the package but we found these to be very reasonably priced. We had a lovely hostess called Mandy who looked after us for the duration of our stay which was from 12 noon until about 18.00pm.
This was a fab experience that we will definitely be doing again

Large meeting pre-cursor to the Cheltenham Festival, many Irish horses running, exciting stiff competition. Food and drink outlets, bar, tote and lots of on course bookies. Rusty Bridge restaurant with own table for the day is great and not too expensive, overlooking the course which can be viewed right the way around, Course is fairly long probably 1.75 miles around, right handed, bends not too severe. Going is always reasonable here because of the lightness of the soil, good to soft yesterday (12/03/2022) Mostly a jumps course, hurdles and fences.

The racing and viewing are both great. It's a lovely track, paddock area very accessible. As ever it's the facilities that let it down, particularly the catering.
£4.50 for a sausage roll or tiny pie. The food choice is very limited, unhealthy, unimaginative and terrible value, in the main area. Bringing food in is prohibited (wonder why?) so there's no choice other than to pay through the nose if you're hungry.

Thanks for your review. Piglets Pantry offers a selection of hot and cold food and drinks that is generally very well received by racegoers, we are sorry that was not the case with yourself. There is a public bar overlooking the racecourse and finishing straight that also offers light snacks and a full bar range. Picnics are not permitted inside the enclosures, but are at cars.

First visit to this racecourse and we received a warm welcome in the Rusty Bridge restaurant. Staff were attentive and the 3 course lunch was good. Very easy to access the paddock, bookmakers etc. Excellent viewing. Would definitely visit again.

Much better than my last visit. First time as an owner and have to say everyone did as much as they could to be friendly and welcoming. A good crowd appeared very pleased to be back to something like normal although proper measures still in place such as hand sanitiser and other covid related requirements as needed still.
Heading in the right direction.

Thank you for your review and comments. The Covid measures in place were as instructed either by Government or the British Horseracing Authority at the time. We are glad you enjoyed your visit and hope you will visit agin soon as an Owner.
