Well maintained home of Shaw. You could almost imagine that he had just gone out for the day.Large garden, the main feature of which is the hut where he did his writing.Worth a visit if you are in the area.

First visit. I like houses that you can imagine someone living in and this was good. Good views from house over countryside and the garden is pretty. No tea shop and a very small gift shop. You have to navigate narrow country lanes to find...More

I like this place. Nice sturdy house, in a huge garden... it evokes a period, an atmosphere. It would have been a cosy home, I reckon, somewhere to enjoy reading while the clock ticked, taking afternoon tea in the garden in the summer months, playing...More

We went on a lovely hot summer's day, which meant we really got to appreciated the beautiful grounds on which the house is set. The house itself was interesting, but it's not a big property so won't make for a whole day out. The volunteers...More

We went without children as this is probably not going to offer much for them . However for adults this is charming place and beautiful garden. Our guide was both amusing and knowledgable.

Interesting to see where GBShaw lived. Not so much a pretty house, but a pleasant middle class home of the early 20th Century. Learn about Shaw and his private life as well as his writing. Brace yourself for the drive up the narrow lanes though.

We enjoyed walking round the garden, and visiting Shaw's writing hut. The guides were good at and able to really able to bring the house to life. They were also helpful in directing us to the local pub for an excellent lunch.

Shaw's Corner is a delightful house, small enough to feel like a home. Lovely garden with Shaw's writing hut at the bottom of it. Staff all very friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyed an excerpt from Pygmalion being read in the orchard.

You really need navigation to get there. It is complicated with lots of narrow back and side roads.
