The main area is nice (not very large) with quite a few interesting artefacts and the activity sheet they gave the kids was good. So for a family the charge of £12 wasn't bad. I was shocked to hear that the charge to add the...More

A modern museum, with very interesting and informative displays. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. When we visited there was a group of school children and their enthusiasm was infectious

Interesting to go around the museum and the children seemed to enjoy themselves. The workshop we attended was also well run.

Really interesting artefacts and insights into Roman life in St. Albans. A good mixture of artefacts on display and opportunities for hands-on experiences. Parking is pay and display and really busy so we found a parking space away from the main car park.More

Well-laid out and kept, but not extensive enough to warrant a long journey, unless you are in the area for other St Albans attractions; there is a car park, but parking can be a problem as this also serves general Verulam area.More
