Thought this walking tour on 6 February was one of the best we have ever done, an added bonus was that the tour also went into the Cathedral grounds which was very interesting. Terry really enjoyed sharing his excellent knowledge of Canterbury with us.

With my wife we took a 24 hour trip to Canterbury whilst staying in London. The Canterbury visit was well worth it despite the winter season. However we felt very thankful of having learned by chance of the guided tour organised by the Visitors Office (located in a beautiful cultural house). I would not add more from what other guests... To get the real benefit of visiting a town like Canterbury it's worth investing in a guided walking tour. Our guide Maureen was able to present an outline history of the place, while sharing interesting details in a lively and humorous manner. She could answer any of our questions and had an obvious wealth of knowledge that she was willing... More

Jane was our guide on this 90 minute tour and maintained our attention throughout with her deep knowledge and anecdotes that brought so much in the City to life. We had taken the Cathedral tour a couple of days before and enjoyed an equally engaging history with much about Thomas Becket. It's worth doing both, as whilst there is some... More

This 90-minute walking tour of Canterbury is one of the best tours I have ever been on (and I have been on a lot of them in various cities). Our guide, Jane, was so knowledgeable and engaging. It was great fun to be guided through the ancient streets of Canterbury and learn about its history. I highly recommend this tour!

Having just got a job in the city, I attended this tour as a means to get to know the area better and find out more about where I was working. The tour guide was entertaining and knowledgable, and made the tour of the city a really great experience. There was a lot of focus on the Thomas Becket and... More

A little too focused on the Cathedral. The guide was full of information, however I didn't find her entertaining or engaging so it was hard to keep interested.

An amusing, informative and interactive tour around the centre of Canterbury, the actual distance covered was not great, but the narrative was fantastic. We were very pleased we signed up for this and would recommend Maureen as an excellent guide. Thank you. (Guides can take parties around the outside of the cathedral, but a tour inside would be separate).

Have visited Canterbury on a few previous occasions and found our own way round. Decided on this occasion to book a guided walking tour. Found it very interesting and informative. Guide was clearly very knowledgeable and pointed out interesting details about the architecture and history of the city. On future city breaks will definitely book a walking tour to enhance... More
