Highly recommend Ben and Westgate punts, great value for money and we had the boat all to ourselves. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon, Ben was friendly and was happy to answer any questions we had. We will definitely go back to Westgate punts next time we are in Canterbury.

We had the hour tour with BEN. The starting point is central and easy to find, the tour was around the countryside and the city itself. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed listening to Ben's explenations and talking with him. It was cold outside but warm in our hearts. We loved it!!!!

I don't boat trips before in Canterbury but it was very short and a shared boat with strangers. Westgate punts offers a leisurely 65 minute tour for yourself ( min 2 adults). Our guide was very interesting and didn't talk too much but answered questions when asked.

We took an early trip before the rivers became busy. The guide was very experienced but pointed out that it was not a tour with commentary, but was happy to answer any questions we had. All their tours are not shared with other groups. We took the longer tour priced at £20 each, which took us up the Great Stour... More

We were very lucky with the weather and decided on a 'countryside' 50 minute punt on 3/4/17. We had Jeremy to take the two of us - very different to the other tours which have groups of people in one boat. No planning was required. We just went to the stand and got a punt straight away. It was just... More

My B&B was right near the entrance to the old town of Canterbury and the River Stour. And there were a couple of young guys pulling in their punts. After all the walking of the last week I could think of nothing better than laying back and letting a young guy do all the work for an hour. I plugged... More

Westgate Punts made us relaxed in their chauffeured river punt trips on the Great Stour river. The boatmen was cheerful, knowledgeable, and was a qualified punt operator. trained to safety and operating procedures. He took us through gardens and countryside with an abundance of wildlife. Historic City Trips and sweetheart punts for couple were also available. You can also have... More

A really great way to see the lovely Kentish countryside and wildfowl at the exterior of the City. Take a little picnic or bottle of bubbly.... sit back and relax. No narration, just calm, peaceful water, nice views and great opportunities to get fab photos. I highly recommend it

A hidden gem, a tranquil and peaceful experience that makes one relax and get lost in natural beauty of the surroundings while the soothing sound of the flowing river along with the Punter's punt calms ones nerves and take your mind away from the busy streets and crowds right around the corner at the town Center. The gentle flowing river... More
