As an ancient pilgrimage site and destination in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, Canterbury is a must-see for any visitor to England–but as such, the tour crowds can be big. Swerve the hordes and discover the city at your own pace with this walking audio tour. Simply book, download, and set off on the 2-kilometer trail, passing landmarks such as St. Dunstan's Church and Canterbury Cathedral, and hear anecdotal tales and funny facts all about the historic city.

The staff were great and organised this for us at pretty short notice... Ham Egg and Chips before we went out was superb... The golf course was in good condition with some of the best greens played on in a while, true roll....... lack of definition on the fairways all seemed to blend in... Great variety of holes ... All equally impressed with our day out....

When you pull into the car park, first impressions are not great. Electricity pylons and a bit of a naff looking academy. However the down sides end there. This is a seriously impressive golf course that I would definitely play again. We were a party of about 20 Society golfers, so be found a slot on a Sunday was a big plus. This is a mature parkland course, very pretty with a lot of elevated tees. Quite undulating so a buggy helps, as this was my fourth round in four days, so energy levels were flagging. As was evidenced by a meagre 23 points. Good clubhouse and a nice position to sit outside overlooking the 18th green, enjoying a pint and a sandwich. Finally a big thanks to the chaps in the pro shop. There was a trade your old golf shoes in deal. I was only 4 rounds into a new pair of footjoys which I normally swear by. They were slaughtering my feet so it was nice to get rid of them, and be given significant discount on a new pair of something else (which are perfect - like playing in carpet slippers).

We recently played at this course in an Open. The course was in excellent condition. Fairly tough course but flowed very well. Surrounded by trees and wildlife all the way round which is lovely. This course is definitely worth a visit. In fact if I lived closer I would seriously think about changing clubs.

Two of my business contacts invited me for a round of golf at Canterbury and it turned out to be a great day. For late-September, the weather was fantastic - if anything a little on the warm side for golf. The golf course - particularly, the greens - was in excellent condition and we all played reasonably well. The staff (from the Pro-Shop to the bar/restaurant) were all extremely helpful and welcoming so all in all a most enjoyable experience. I hope I get invited back again!
