I had heard from my 44 year old Mother that she had visited this place with her friends and she wasn’t a big fan. However, making my own opinion - the doorman was not very knowledgable and I don’t think he is suited to a...More

Dropped by a week ago after a meal across the road with some friends. This has always been a ‘go to’ bar with a large group of us, be it out individually or as groups. The bar is set out and presented very nicely and...More

Dean and Daniel, absolute legends. Did a swell job, catering to us all night and we had a great time. Absolute 5/5 review.

Unfortunately the look of The Pound much outdoes it’s actual experience. Bar service extremely slow. Door staff absolutely horrendous - incredibly rude. Would not return purely on this basis. Made to feel most unwelcome.

I guess it was okay, the architecture made the place look nice but it didn't feel warm, bar service was a little slow so you didn't rush back to the bar for another drink but instead moved on. if it was a venue for cocktails...More

This is a bit of a hidden gem I think in Canterbury. I love it in here but I would say it’s a bit small for how busy it gets. Very cramped, hot and not enough seating. But other than that it’s cute and different!...More

Cocktails in an old prison! Very cool atmosphere with themed cocktail list. I had the Tea Leaf (nice play on cockney slang!) which was delicious and beautifully presented! Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. We were free to wander around and have a look at the...More
