Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow after reading the last review made me wonder if I went on the same tour!! For your £40 you had full access all day if you want to look around the whole site which was not only call the midwife it is situated in a historic maritime dockyard's with RNLI historic boats navy warships, submarines and much more...Anyway back to call the midwife tour, fantastic value for money tour with loads of information on the scenes from the series to how it was made ''Dawn'' the guide tour was fantastic and very helpful, If you watch the programme I highly recommend you go and learn how it is put together, fantastic day out well done to all.

We went to the call the midwife tour today. My daughter paid £80 for my husband and I to go on the tour because we love the program. I could not recommend going on this tour. Basically we walked around looking at the places bits of the programme was filmed, while a lady dressed as a nurse showed us picture in a book. Luckily the weather was dry. At one point the tour guide pointed at a mental gate 200 yards away and told us a few scenes which were filmed there. We could hardly see the gate, as there was a car park full of cars in the way. This tour is not worth £40 each. The tour was so bad we left before the end.

Fabulous tour. Irene was a fantastic tour guide, friendly, very knowledgeable, witty and entertaining. Very well organised tour with great insights into the making of the series. Irene could have easily passed as a cast member of the series.

Heather our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was very good waiting for everyone to catch up before speaking and was always loud enough and clear. Made the tour very enjoyable. Lots of to see from the shows. You also have full day at the dockyard included so advisable to arrive early to see all the ships etc. also book to go on submarine as limited spaces
Very worthwhile enjoyable day.

The tour was enjoyable but at times we missed what she was saying as she was not speaking loud enough . A personal microfoon would be good

It was amazing tour. Our tour guide was very informative and funny. She took us around all the places where the series is filmed and explained a lot of the details. The tour took around 90 minutes and we loved it.

What a fantastic time we had. Our tour guide was Irene and from the moment she arrived she was fantastic. The tour lasted 90 minutes, you do need good walking shoes on. Irene explained the HMS Calvary was used for various scenes, you walk and see where various scenes are filmed and how they transform into the places needed. You visit the prop room with the haberdashery, sweet shop, drs etc along with various props. We all thoroughly enjoyed it along with the other things to see at the Dockyard. Good value for money.
Only disappointing thing was the merchandise that hasn’t got the midwives on!
