Excellent experience, led by a costumed ”midwife”, reminded me of my training in the East End - those maternity bikes! Cleverly designed to point out all the areas used as scenes in the show, and interesting museum of items from the show too.

Went on the Call the Midwife Tour today (11 May 2022) led by Helen. If you just walk around The Dockyard area, you might be able to picture some of the sites from episodes of Call the Midwife, especially if you have watched the episodes as many times as I have, but Helen described in detail the select episodes and how the sites were transformed for the story and then showed us scenes in her picture book to jog our memories. It was set up perfectly. I highly recommend the Tour if you're a fan of the show. Having Helen as your guide is an added bonus.

If you're a fan of Call The Midwife then this tour is a must. You get to see many locations where scenes have been filmed and learn a few industry secrets along the way. There is also an exhibition of props from the show that you get time to look at. Our guide was brilliant and made the tour entertaining and interesting too. Plus once inside the Historic Dockyard there is also plenty to see and do as well. A great day out.

I took the tour with my elderly mother and father - it was their Christmas present. They are big fans, I have barely watched an episode. Mum has mobility issues. All of us - and the rest of our group - had a great time. The way the storylines are unpacked was entertaining and brought each area to life. Our guide made sure mum was OK and walked with her at points. All in all a brilliant experience.
