This harbour is spectacular especially when see from above on the approach road from Broadstairs. It is worth walking around the harbour which you can do if the small bridge across the entrance is down. You can walk out to the lighthouse if the weather is good but when we went it was too windy. There are several information boards... More

Strong cross currents can be a challenge near the harbour entrance. We found the... More

It really is a vibrant and fun place to be, you can sense a sea change (oops rubbish bun) as Ramsagte tries to... More

Walked 45 mins along the beach to Boraodstairs one day then hopped on the £1.40 regular Loop bus back The Empire Room Restaurant at the Royal Harbour Hotel was my favourite Some places are priced at an absolute tourist trap. £16-£18 for a main common that are really average. Think this means locals don't see this as value for money... More

Beautiful port, lovly watching the boats. An interesting cosmopolitan sea side with great cafes and bars . A real town with lots of intriguing places to discover. Walk along the harbour to discover the many galleries shops and restaurants.

Ramsgate Harbour is a fascinating place, I live in Ramsgate and my wife and I often escape from the traumas of life with a stroll around the harbour. It is a fluid place changing every week with different boats and events happening all the time. There are places to sit and look out to sea or just boat watch like... More
