About
A very warm welcome to Kent Wine School - an independent wine education company. We run wine tastings and WSET wine courses in Tunbridge Wells for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. We also host private and corporate wine tastings across Kent. We aim to inspire you by introducing you to different wine styles from around the world and to cut through the clutter by showing you some of the best examples of these wines. We don't sell wine but we point you in the direction of good places to buy wine in West Kent and the UK. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary.

We were introduced to KWS last year and attended a wine tasting at the Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells. We were so impressed that since then we have signed up to at least another 4. As a result of C-19, KWS have been holding the tastings on line and this has worked very well. Both Jonny and Victoria are very informative and take the time to explain not only the wine regions but the grape varieties as well. We have definitely improved our knowledge and enjoyment of red/white wine. Our last tasting was a food and wine pairing and this emphasised the importance of food with certain wines. Would certainly recommend KWS and look forward to many more tastings ourselves.

I organized the wine and cheese pairing session as a surprise gift for my Dad's 60th birthday.
He'd hired a large holiday rental in Kent for us all, and this was to be an activity for the weekend, to perk us all up after the party the night before, and bring us all back into the land of the living, and it did just that.
Jonny arrived to a party of 14 bleary eyed adults (who didn't really want to look at another drop of alcohol at this point) with everything - wine, glasses, cheese, brilliant knowledge and a great presence. He brought some fabulous, interesting wines that we'd never have thought to buy and paired them with some sensational artisan cheeses, which he then taught us how to pair. Jonny was engaging, patient with our group (who obviously thought they knew it all), and wonderfully entertaining. We all had a great fun afternoon, and when Jonny left, after answering all of our probing questions, we all felt wonderfully knowledgeable and rather merry. It really was a fantastic interlude to our weekend, thoroughly enjoyed by all. We would 100% book to do this again.

Have recently passed the WSET Level 3 course with Kent Wine School - phew! Hard work but great fun and highly recommended. Victoria is a superb tutor, very knowledgeable and conveys a huge amount of detail clearly and with patience. Now looking forward to attending more tastings and courses without needing to focus on an exam! Last week's Rioja tasting was great and I'm next booked on the A-Z of Grapes course, which looks inventive and unusual.

We are quite new to learning about wine, so this was are a really useful and enjoyable course.
Jonny and Victoria are excellent at talking you through each wine and the different regions. We learnt a great deal albeit my notes deteriorated as each evening progressed ;-)
No question is too daft, and it is great to be talked through tasting a wide variety of wine.
It was ran really well - especially given they had to do it online due to covid.
We will definitely be doing more courses with them later in the year!

The information given about the wine and its origins was very informative.
The wine on offer was of any excellent quality and the steak to accompany it was perfectly cooked.
The assembled wine devotees were very sociable which made the session very amusing.

Took the L2 Wine course in Tonbridge Wells over 3 weeks.
It was a really insightful course with lots of tips about selected wines and also about food pairing which to me was very helpful.
There is a lot of info over the weeks and I would definitely recommend at least 6 to 7 hours per week outside of course time in order to fully grasp the subject

Great to be back ‘live’ at the Hotel du Vin for Kent Wine School’s evening on English wines. As always Victoria made the evening thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining, sharing her knowledge of both English sparking and still wines.

I did a one off wine tasting evening, slotting into a group who were already enjoying the 8 week course. A great learning experience in a well organised yet laid back setting. Victoria is so knowledgeable and experienced and led the session well, answering all questions that arose with ease. Very accessible for all levels of knowledge.

I recently attended the 3 day WSET Level 2 course run by Jonny at the Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells. I found it extremely enjoyable and learnt so much about wine. Jonny was a master in the delivery of content and having wines to taste in each session certainly brought it to life ! I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who wants to take a step forward with their knowledge of wines.

My husband and I took part in English Wine tasting and had a fabulous experience. The wines chosen where interesting and 5 of the 6 being wines we’ve not tried before which was great. Victoria was very knowledgeable I would recommend for a nice safe evening.
