my friends and I are regulars at this Pub and have been so for a long time. That said, last night was a complete disaster -we left after 20 minutes of not being served. There were only 2 people working the and trying to serve food at the same time. It was a pleasant evening but we could not sat outside even if we wanted as the tables were pilerd high with empty glasses. This is NOT a criticism of the bar staff who worked tirelessly but of the manager who, allegedly, was in the buildiong but with his family.

Our first visit to this lovely pub and will not be our last. Welcoming team on duty ( many thanks Lauren Paul and Robin); such friendly people. We shall be returning soon for lunch. Great for dogs too!

Will not bother going back here. Lovely pub, great location. That's as good as it gets. Service glacially slow. Front bar today was full of screaming under fives who were left entirely unchecked by staff - and indeed parents. I have no problem with kids in pubs. But there is a nasty bunch of parents in here who think it ok to inflict their progeny and pushchairs on everyone else. The landlord - who has all the charm of a rattlesnake - was shifting furniture noisily around us as if we did not count at all. Hey, try cracking a smile. Go on, you know you can!

I used to love this pub but recent changes mean that I probably won't be going back. The quality of food has dropped quite steeply since my last visit, and it actually used to be quite good! A real shame that the oldest pub in Tunbridge wells (I think), and a really solid eatery, now finds itself amongst the the worst! 3/10

We visited to watch the Rugby World Cup final. The main bar was packed and a good atmosphere to watch the game. A mixture or larger and ales on tap gave ample selection.

This is absolutely fantastic. The redecoration of the inside is brilliant and the comfortable top end beer garden makes this by far the best in Tunbridge Wells.
It is sad that some parents are unable to control their children however, resulting in the ripping of the bar billiard table and no attempt by the parents to offer to pay for the damage. You know who you are. This is a great venue but many parents appear unwilling to control their children, posing a hazard to other patrons from hot food to trip hazards.

Careless pints of ale ( half inch collars) young man tattooed, self interested, pulling good pub down- we've been here before- service and customers priority please. Is he a relative?

We popped in here for a cup of hot coffee on a cold day, It did not disappoint. The staff and manager were extremely welcoming and the pub decked out for Christmas. Lovely fire and was warm and cosy.

Very disappointing! Meals over cooked. Chicken with chopped lettuce and a handful of chips, not very interesting and tasteless. Expensive for what we got. Would not go back again.
