Went to Pickering Park as we told DONT feed the ducks brown bread or any bread by I think a park keeper. Thought he was kidding . Then he said you can feed them corn which I said to him I have a tin of that on me haha . What a horrible experience won’t go there again thought the whole experience was odd .!!!!

Needs some TLC
Sep 2019
Thanks to council cutbacks this park isn't nearly as well-tended as it used to be and it really shows. It could be a fantastic place for adults, kids, dog walkers, footballers and everyone but now, unfortunately, the only time that Hull City Council seem to be aware of the place is when the travellers set up camp and everyone starts complaining.

Perhaps if HCAL could find some funds down the back of a sofa somewhere then this park could be restored to its former glory. They seem to find the money for East Park, West Park and Pearson Park - what about Pickering Park?

A clean park, Great fishing, Great for kids.

Pickering park is clean and tidy, it has a well maintained childrens play area, clean toilets, and a great fishing lake that holds many species, including, Tench, Perch, Carp, Roach, Pike, and Eels. You require an Environment Agency rod license to fish, and it's a £4 a day ticket, payable to the patrolling park keeper.

This used to be a lovely park but it een run down a lot. Gone are the rowing boats as have the motor boats. The lake is mostly used by anglers. Dont know what the fish stock is like. The avery is derelict. The bowling greens and tennis courts have long gone.
There is a childrens play area and a nice big paddling pool. Near by there are toilets. There are some football pitches that are well used at the weekend. Sometimes through the year there visiting attractions.

Really nice park

This is a great park with something for everyone. It has a children's playground and paddling pool, adult exercise equipment, several Sunday league football pitches and a large lake with ducks and geese and angling available. Great for a pleasant walk and lovely in spring and Autumn sunshine.

Nice park
Oct 2017 • Couples
Was better with the aviary, but still good, especially in the summer with the paddling pool. Unfortunately lots of broken equipment through vandalism.

Walk in the park
Oct 2017 • Solo
This park is vast and has changed over the years. The lake is still in situ but the rowing and motor boats have long gone. The a very
is now closed and full of weeds but it houses rodents (Not nice)
There is an abundance of squirrels in the park. The park is a lovely big space but there are areas that are neglected.

Great park to walk round, very good size, with animals to view. Nice place to chill in on a warm sunny day, kids can tire themselves out on the large grassed area.

A Whale Of A Time !!!!!!!!!!!

Today it was really hot so I thought where shall I take my children? Then I remembered the Splash Park in Pickering Park, Hull. Surprisingly, its very family friendly. There's clean toilets and changing areas for the children to get the swimming costumes on. Parents will feel safe because the always a parkie looking out for the children and there more than happy to talk to you about anything. My kids loved splashing about and now we go back every week in the summer. If you have children and its hot get down there !!!!!!!!!!!!
