Historic old pub on scale lane. Lots of memorabilia on walls- mainly the old brasses from the delivery drays. Was very quiet at lunchtime visit - possibly bacause they have no food offering ? However their sister pub just up the road- lion and key...More

Sister pub to the Lion and Key. 9 taps about a half from Cathead and the rest guest beers including one from the Hilltop, Conisbrough (where I live) surprisingly.

A real quaint old pub, no food, a good selection of ales, good atmosphere to savour the beers. This is one of several fantastic places to visit for a drink for the wary traveller.
