Welcome to the FREE Hull Heritage Walk an audio and written self guided tour around Hull's "Old Town". You will discover Hull's Maritime past as you explore the city's Old Town Docks and Riverside Quay. You can download the Walk to your phone or tablet in audio or written format and follow it without adverts or pop-up. The walk is presented in 9 bite sized stages which can be taken in any order and at any time although we do recommend you start at Stage 1 and follow the map.

Easily one of the best audio history tours I've done, I really recommend this to anyone who wants to spend a couple of hours (or longer) exploring Hull's interesting history.
The tour is downloadable and comes in 9 sections, which can be done in any order as they form a giant loop. Each section leads you easlly to the next.
Each stage comes packed with interesting facts, historical anecdotes and immersive audio experiences. I noticed so many things I hadn't spotted when wandering about before.
The tour is really well written and gives ample opportunities and suggestions of where to stop for a drink or rest or to explore more.
There is loads of optional extra information, pictures and links on the website.
I had a plan of what I was going to do on my trip to Hull but it all changed when I downloaded this tour. I did it really slowly, stopping off lots to visit places en route and taking time to look around me. It easily filled my two days here, but if I'd wanted to I could have done it all in a couple of hours, or just done a couple of sections. Like so many of the museums here, it was free which made it incredibly good value!

It was a delight to be guided around Hull by the voices of this lovely group of local people, with their amusing and atmospheric audio accompaniments.
The guide is presented in 9 timed sections, which is helpful for planning a refreshment break in the middle and allows you to set your own pace. An informative and accurate walk which is kept very much up to date. The ‘Want to know more section‘, provides interesting further reading.
An enjoyable afternoon well spent. Thanks.

The thing that made our visit to Hull most interesting! Walking tours are nice, but you have to walk and walk, with kids getting bored ... Whereas we broke this one over 3 days, listening to it as a family, stopping and chatting etc. All cities should do this!

We completed the Hull Heritage Walk on a Sunday morning. We’re from Hull so know the city very well but still found things we didn’t know! Even though it’s a Heritage trail I particularly liked that up-to-date information was included like the facts about the new pedestrian bridge over Castle Street. A great way to explore Hull

We did this walk over 3 days, taking in the sights and availing ourselves of the many hostelries en route. Thoroughly enjoyable, definitely recommended.

My wife and I listened to the full tour one Sunday afternoon we are both from Hull and very familiar with the streets and alleyways of the Old Town of Hull So we were able to follow the tour in our minds eye. Nonetheless for someone not from the town it gives a clear and concise guide to the town easy to follow at your own pace. We particularly liked the sound effects....even the seagulls...so hope anyone reading this will give it a go....why not it's free! Thank you to the guides, keep up the good work.👍👏👏👏

As a resident from the outskirts of Hull, it would never have occurred to me to take part in a heratage walk around my home town, if a friend hadn't talked me into it. However, I found it absolutely fascinating and despite the fact that I have lived here all my life, I found out lots of interesting snippets of information that I previously had no idea about! It's extremely informative and interesting and I'm sure will appeal also to non-residents too.
