I want to see my friend, Mat Fraser, play Richard III. Hull Truck is a fabulous venue – great theatre space with an extremely good restaurant, although the choice of wine on offer could perhaps be more ambitious. Very accessible for older and disabled patrons with friendly, helpful staff who make this place buzz.

Ultimately your enjoyment will be dictated by the performance that you choose to see, but however good or bad it is, the seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room and wherever you sit you should get a good view of the stage. There is a spacious foyer, with the upstairs being less crowded and the café/bar seems nice, We... More

This year at Hull Truck, we have had the opportunity to see some great drama. The Hypocrite, Richard Bean play was fantastic to see the prior to going to Stratford. Now Barrie Rutters Richard III, the last scene which was accompanied by drummer, was a fantastic finale. I remember Hull Truck and it's former Arts Centre previous location. I feel... More

We always enjoy our time at the theatre and today was no different. We thought that we would book a matinee performance for a change this time. Loved it. Lunch out at the pub followed by an afternoon watching "Empty Nesters" I love this theatre as you can see everything no matter where you are seated. Another great play by... More

We went to see Betty Blue Eyes, the musical based on A Private Function. The huge cast was excellent, especially the two main actors. It really was a good show, better than we thought it would be. One thing about Hull Truck, you feel as though you are part of the production due to the closeness of the stage.

For me the seats were a surprise as they were so comfortable which isn't normally the case in theatres. I highly... More

Our first visit to Hull Truck Theatre could not have been better. The theatre itself is very modern, excellent facilities, professional staff and The Heron auditorium does not have a bad seat in the house. Add in it's 50 yards from a very reasonably priced hotel and 100 yards from an eclectic choice of restaurants a visit to Hull Truck... More

Fabulous evening at Hull Truck, bizarrely not been to the new place but will make the effort moving forward as it's a great intimate venue. Fabulous cast with great local humour too; loved it.

First visit and good to see a full house for The Hypocrite. Well located in centre and close to train station and car park. Good seating with clear views of the stage for all. No cloakroom as such but the staff at the box office very friendly and able to take in our belongings and return them safely at the... More
