Dropped in for a late couple of pints after a midweek football match. Very quiet but still a friendly conversation was had accompanied by excellent beer. Well worth seeking out.

We spent a fantastic lunchtime in this cracking pub before the recent Hull v West Brom game (I wish that we had stayed there!) Tony the gaffer is a really friendly Shrewsbury Town fan. Great selection of beers and the Snowy Oreos are the best...More

Thank you for your review. I'm pleased you enjoyed the Oreos 😀. A pity about the score - I was secretly rooting for the Midlands, but if you see Shrewsbury's current performance it is not good to have me on your side!

We happened to be parked in the street outside so it was convenient to drop in for a pint and a bite. However, I must say that this place is desperately in need of refurbishment. The beer was fine but food advertised outside (e.g. paninis)...More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you were disappointed. We do offer toasted sandwiches in our home-baked bread, which I am sure you will have had with your sandwich. The board outside is a permanent board, which I agree indicates paninis, which...More

We travelled from York especially for the Hop and Vine's one day cider festival on Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday and it was well worth the trip. You need to keep your eyes peeled to find this small basement bar but it is definitely well worth...More
