Been here a few times now and the quality of the Sunday roast is excellent. Very reasonably priced compared to some other pubs, who charge a premium on Sundays. Great staff, nice surroundings, in a nice part of Hull city centre.

Sound system is from the 80’s but the place was cheap and cheerful. Unfortunately our drinks were removed when we hadn’t even touched them even though we were standing right next to them. We thought the staff member was removing just our empties. I spoke...More

Popped in for some lunch. Food reasonably priced, but had to wait nearly 45min, and quality was average at best. Chips not properly cooked. Didn’t seem to be able to cope with the demand of people ordering food, and it wasn’t particularly busy. May have...More

Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon but impressed with the decor. Unusual decor but tasteful. Looks like it could be great when full so we'll try it again later in the evening

Good service. Lots of meats. Vegetables could be a bit warmer - and Yorkshire Puddings definitely need to be much SMALLER. Not too expensive. Plenty of quiet seating in the old Chapel - made into the Bar. It's got character

Called in for food and drink on a Saturday afternoon in August. Old church lovingly renovated into a pub. The staff were friendly and helpful while the prices were reasonable. It was pretty quiet although there were some ten to fifteen customers seated throughout the...More

A party of 14 of us met up for a school reunion, we left school 54 years ago, so the average age was around 70. Although the pub wasn't very full, we were enjoying ourselves, catching up and reminiscing, when at 8-50pm a staff member...More
