We really were bowled over by the range and quality of all the gorgeous sheepskin and cowhide products available, furnishing and personal. The sheepskin throws we bought look and feel wonderful. Thank you Rick and the team. We will definitely be calling here again and would recommend popping in when visiting Ambleside.

Visited in-between Christmas and New Year as we had been on the lookout for a Herdwick Sheepskin rug. The shop was busy and there was so much in the shop we didn't know where to start, but the staff made us feel welcome and like nothing was too much trouble, listened to what we were looking for and then showed us a selection and gave us time to browse checking back with us. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back as we love our rug but one may just not be enough....🥰

Popped in to browse and spotted the amazing range of leather jackets. The chap who served me was very helpful and I’ve walked out with a cracking black leather jacket (called Rocky!). Great value for money too for such great quality

We went in on a family recommendation. We’ve been looking for the right sheepskin rug and we found it right here! Amazing honest and down to earth owner, amazing products (rug and slippers) far superior to similar products I’ve bought elsewhere. Would definitely recommend and I’d go back for more.

What an amazing store! The goods are top quality!! They have everything leather, wool, and shearling that you can imagine and more! I walked out with a cute sheep design sweater and beanie, and the most luxurious and beautiful sheepskin rug I didn’t know I need before I walked in 😂 The guy who mans the store is very friendly and has fantastic sense of humor - no pressure on you at all. He was very helpful and gave me a lot of tips on how to take care of my new purchase! Totally recommend going into the shop even just to feel how soft everything is - you’ll be tempted to treat yourself!!

What a really lovely little shop in Ambleside. Visited on a cool, drizzly June day and found just the thing for the vagaries of the British weather - sheepskin hot water bottle covers! Beautiful quality and the staff were so helpful, finding me the exact item I was looking for. Can’t wait to visit again.

What a lovely shop with so much choice. I’d always wanted a sheep skin rug but never really felt confident of what I was buying and didn’t really want just any skin. On our first day in Ambleside, I decided that I wanted a Herdwick rug, a sheep from the Lake District. We said we would be back later in the week and I’m sure the owner thought ‘I’ve heard that one before’, but we did go back! The gentleman was so helpful, getting all the Herdwick skins out for me and letting me lay them out on the floor, so patient. We had looked at rugs in other shops, during the week, but they were no comparison to these skins. The quality at Ambleside Sheep Skins is just so good, and well worth the money
