What a lovely shop. Didn't know this place even existed but so glad we came across this place. My son loves gems and stones, so he was in his element. Kids loved the rock pit and bracelet making. Really nice idea and will visit this...More

This is a lovely shop, there was lots to do for children and very informative nuggets of information all over the shop. Bought a few things for the grandchildren. If we visit Ambleside with them we would definitely bring them here.

My 7 year old LOVED this place. She got to go into the dinosaur cave where she took home a fossil, made a bracelet from gems and play in the gem pit. Overall very good value for money and a lovely place to spend an...More

The kids really enjoyed spending time here. There is a rock pool, where you collect shiny stones. A place to make a bead necklace. Then a dinosaur hunt upstairs. It was great for us as we were the only ones there, it’s only small so...More

We visited Ambleside just to go to this shop as it looked like a fun thing to do in the rain. Paid for all three activities (we only wanted two but it is the same price for three!). The bag for the gems was a...More

Dear Emma I'm sorry you feel you've been discriminated against for having a large family. We originally tried the three kids on one ticket route. It didn't work, there were too many connotations for our team to consider which complicated things so we decided to...More

To me a rock shop would mean confectionery as opposed to geology. It's not healing crystal and new agey (there are shops like that in Ambleside this ain't one....) We took our child there specifically as he is rock mad and he loved it. There's...More

Our five and three year old children had a great time at the RockShop. We’d recommend it especially if they are into dinosaurs!
