We were walking around and came across this place. We had a stroll around here which there are different things which you can do. There is bowls green, mini golf, tennis courts etc here which the main building has all the information and items needed. There is seating about. It is nice to have a little stroll around when the weather it good or take part in one of the available activities when the weather is good

Lovely setting, looked good for families. Crazy golf and bowls looked good too. Sadly we tried pitch and putt. Only allowed 1 club between 3 of us by the fairly disinterested staff member. All the putting surfaces were bits of scruffy patchy uneven ground. Luckily we found this amusing but you may not. Ironically at the kiosk there was almost continuously a sign up saying the attendant was away out in the course working on the greens! Much much better pitch and putt at Keswick! As for us.. Maybe bowls next year .

Crazy golf is small number of holes but thought it was still reasonable for the price we paid. Definitely a good activity to do whilst in Ambleside!

We visited Ambleside and we were pleasantly surprised to find the mini golf course in this location. It does need a bit of a upgrade but I found the course fun and enjoyable to play on.

Visited in August with family and played pitch and putt and bowls. Come here every year and always enjoy it. Unfortunately this year the grass was very long which spoiled the pitch and putt a bit. With a bit of maintenance we are sure it will be back to its best!

We love this and play semi seriously every time we visit Ambleside. I mostly lose as my partner's a golfer but who cares as it's a good laugh. Good value for money too. Just ask for a code for the toilets.

Been on holiday to the Lakes many times with the kids. Ambleside is our favourite place to stay and whilst we're here we always have a family golf championship!! After bagging fells I've never got enough energy for tennis and the other activities on offer but me & my laddo love a quick round of crazy or mini golf before tea. Seems like a traditional way to end the day. Lovely setting in town with the trees & church and I never get bored of looking up and seeing the hills. Just for the record Mum was the 2013 mini golf champ 3-0 :-)

My 7 year old son and I had a great time in Ambleside at White Platts recreation ground. The crazy golf is slightly better than most others and the mini golf/pitch & putt was great fun. The premises is clean and well looked after and the attendants were polite and very accommodating to a left-hander. There were plenty of other activities available and these looked just as popular. I recognised some other players from a few days before so like us, they had returned. With a season ticket you could spend all day there, but we found it really convenient to kill a couple of hours after a walk or day out somewhere else.

I visited white platts with my 3 children. My first impression was clean and tidy and well maintained ,the bowling green looked great as the young guy who was working was cutting it was running back and fourth to serve customers and his manner was polite and helpful. The crazy golf course was fun and has to be the best one I have played on. The hanging baskets and flower beds looked wonderful great mixture of colours. We had such a great time we will be sure to come back and play again soon. And great value for money too.

Average mini golf course, could do with a bit of reinvestment. Ok if you have some young kids who want to knock the ball around but would not be suited to those who take their mini golf a little seriously!!
