Nice pub with good food and enormous portion sizes. I had the veggie mushroom stroganoff which was delicious but too large for me, definitely worth a visit if you've been walking all day.

Best pub in langdale. Visited several times and will continue to do so as long as I can get a seat. Wonderful location with the views from the beer garden being spectacular. About a four mile walk to Ambleside means it is quite easy to...More

Popped in for drinks and stayed for a bite to eat too. Friendly staff in this traditional, classic Lakeland pud. Food was great and served promptly. Will be back

Made a discreet complaint and it wasn't taken into account . Should have made a big fuss . Food was ok , but it was a bit expensive for what it was . Place was popular though and very busy

A nice old fashioned pub in a good location with nice outside tables. Our light lunch was ok but expensive for what it was. The cafe across the road looked a better bet if you don't want beer.

We staying in Elterwater and found the staff very friendly, the food is very good with a good choice of local beers. Dogs are very welcome We would certainly consider staying here in the future together with our dog.
