Multi choice trips on the Gondola: long, short and two stage trips available. I was amazed that the Gondola could carry 86 passengers. Also the steam engine produced twelve horse power without any coal: instead is used ultra clean sawdust briquettes. We chose to disembark...More

Went on the Gondola last week. Weather was not good so stayed inside apart from the captain letting me have a steer!! Very quiet and smooth ride and good commentary. A tad expensive for the afternoon cruise but worth it once.

A full lake tour I believe is £20.50 per person less 10% for national trust members. Head of the lake only is £11 less the 10%. Sorry cannot help with the timing once you get off part way round. It is best to pre book.
