A fabulous few hours canyoning ten minutes walk out of Coniston. Dealing with Joint Adventures was a breeze, Adam is very easy to talk to and dead easy going. My two teenage sons and were expecting to gorge scramble, nothing too exciting. Instead we were offered a more exhilarating option, mostly involving jumping into pools from a great height. We... Hi Paul Thanks for taking time to review to review your session with Paddy. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Canyoning isn't for everyone but we think that it is important to talk to each group and make a decision about what we think is going to be the most fun whilst still keeping things nice and safe. Had a great day kayaking with Adam as our instructor. He was really nice man and an excellent teacher, gradually building our confidence in a range of different skills as the session went on. As we had not been before, he taught us all the basics but was clearly very knowledgable as well as entertaining. He was able to give... More

We can wholeheartedly recommend this canoe adventure to the island. Adam is a professional within his field and we look forward to the Gorge walk next time we visit Coniston.

Adam squeezed us in at short notice and took plenty of time to make sure we were properly kitted out since it was the end of October. He judged the level of our group to perfection and we were challenged, kept busy and tons of fun in Church Beck for a couple of hours. Absolutely worth every penny and the... More

Hi Martin Thanks for taking the time to review your session with us. I am glad that you enjoyed it and thank you for your kind comments. We do work hard to ensure that groups are properly kitted out and tend to use winter weight wet suits at this time of year especially for children. Hope to see you again. More

We did rock climbing, gorge scrambling and canoeing over one and a half days. The family that runs this business were relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable. We felt safe and well cared for at all times whilst still doing exciting, challenging and memorable activities. We are two adults and two boys aged 8 and 12.

Our family of four - two adults (ages 52 and 53) and two children (ages 10 and 13) spent a lovely morning kayaking. The cost of £132 included wet suits, buoyancy aids and instruction for three hours. We felt very safe yet at the same time we were encouraged to push ourselves to the edge of our comfort zones if... More

This is exactly what we were looking for in a family adventure day. Our two boys aged 7 and 8 described the mornings canoeing on Coniston to Wild Cat island as " the best thing they have ever done". Alas this bold statement lasted only a few hours as they then described the afternoons gorge scrambling as " the best... More

Hi Mike Thanks for reviewing your session with us. I'm pleased that we managed to get your adventure day right. Our family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 15 had a fabulous time kayaking in the morning with Adam and Tom, followed by gorge walking with Simon in the afternoon. All of the instructors were very good and ensured we had a fun and lovely experience We would recommend this to anyone.

Adam, Tom & Michael your adventure tour was awesome we loved it...all of us! This tour is to Wildcat Island (of Swallows & Amazons Fame) in Canadian Canoes lashed together like a catamaran. The games on the way over were great for all as Tom shouted "Stand up, sit down, kneel up, kids sit on the bow". On reaching Wildcat... More

Thank you for reviewing your wild Cat trip with us. We do use a variety of ways to get to Wild Cat; often these depend on the weather and people on the trip. Our aim is to choose the best way for the people we have on the day. Games can vary and the trip can be action packed but... More

My partner, brother, brother in law, and 2 under 10s booked a half day kayaking/canoeing trip on Coniston Water with Joint Adventures. What a fantastic and (exhausting!) experience. Coming to the Lakes is all about activity and adventure and this was such good fun. My brother took the 2 kids in a canoe, so they could paddle when they wanted... More
