Adventure North West offers a wide range of outdoor pursuit activities to suit anyone who likes spending time in the outdoors. We only provide private bookings, which adds that personal touch. Adventure North West is based in the English Lake District and Lancashire giving you the opportunity to see some of the most awe-inspiring views and natural wonders, whilst you partake in some of the most fun activities in the UK. We are perfect for families, couples, friendship groups, birthdays, hen party, stag party, corporate. Our outdoor activities are: Abseiling, Rock climbing, Hill walking and Navigation, Canoeing, Kayaking and Stand up Paddle boarding (SUP). Bush craft, Raft building, Team building and Problem solving tasks, Archery, Ghyll scrambling, Gorge scrambling and Canyoning.

We had a fantastic morning climbing Stickle Ghyll with Tim from Adventure North West. Tim was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the local area. We truly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely morning scramble with Tim, who sets up different challenges to do along the route. We were lucky to have a small group which made the experience all the more personal. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area up for a fun experience.

I booked a day of climbing and ghyll scrambling in the Lakes for a birthday day out.
Booking was really easy with the team being really helpful via email.
The day itself was super fun. We have only climbed inside, mainly bouldering, and Tim was really helpful showing us how to tie in and how to belay. We were belaying each other through the whole morning which previously I was apprehensive about. As we climbed Tim was really encouraging and helped us improve our technique and find the way up. I don't think I stopped smiling the whole time!
The ghyll scrambling was a great fun activity, though I was chilly by the end! There was lots of little fun challenges like going under waterfalls and jumping into pools.
Tim took loads of great photos as well so we will be able to remember a fantastic day.
All in all, I couldn't have had a better birthday! Thank you!

My partner and I did a morning ghyll scrambling with Tim in the Langdale valley. It was a freezing cold but stunning November day and we had an absolute blast. Tim is excellent at what he does, which inspires confidence to challenge yourself more than you otherwise might. Really nice guy too. Would recommend to anyone thinking of doing this kind of activity.

My partner and I booked in for ghyll scrambling in Great Langdale early March as a birthday treat. Tim was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about providing the best possible experience. We did the 3 hour course and all of the equipment provided kept us warm for the entire trip. We would one hundred percent look to book future adventures with this company. Thanks Tim! We also went for a post trip warm up and lunch at the pub near the car park which we’d also recommend.

Amazing afternoon with Tim scrambling. Can't recommend this activity enough. Caters for all abilities. Rock climbing, getting wet and great advice.

Loved our morning paddle boarding. Tim was great, patient, helpful and informative. He had great knowledge of the area, with some great stories of the lake. He took some brilliant pictures so we could spend our time mastering our ‘skills’ but still have some great pictures of the day. We stopped at a wonderful cafe and overall had an amazing experience. As total beginners, we were very rapidly up on our feet which says more about Tim’s instruction than our skill level. Email communications were prompt and clear. Would definitely recommend, I’d love to do some of your other exciting experiences. Thank you.

Really loved our morning of rock climbing in chorley (lancashire). It was me, my friend, and my two kids aged 11 and 14. Wonderful instruction, all gear provided (including rock climbing shoes), and somehow we had my 11 yr old belaying my adult friend!!! Beautiful views from the top of the climb too. Highly highly recommend.

We (one slightly nervous 53 year old dad and my intrepid 17 & 18 year old daughter & son) had an absolutely fantastic afternoon canyoning with Tim last Wednesday - exhilarating stuff in a beautiful location, and really made our holiday. Many thanks for wonderful memories of the fun in the water!!
