A very quaint church in the centre of Grasmere. The graveyard contains the Wordsworth family plot, with William Wordsworth's tomb. Well worth a visit.

You have to walk around The Daffodil Garden and Gravestones first. It's nice to see where Wordsworths family are buried and to see all the flagstones with the names and countrys where people have come from to visit this little church and surrounding scenery! The Church itself is quaint and interesting.

Head here early for a view of 3 generations of family graves in a beautiful, well maintained, grave yard. We arrived at about 09:30 and got some fabulous photos.

We had been to Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum so this was a sort of final stop on the trail. The Wordsworth family graves bring our journey to an obvious end. The church itself is simple and respectful - I liked it - none of the grandeur some others seem to require - this was more a family church... More

The church where Wordsworth worshipped. He and his wife and other family members are buried in the church graveyard. Very simple inside which adds to its charm.

If you are a fan of Wordsworth then this is a must see. If you are in Grasmere as a visitor this is an adorable country church. The cemetery is very old with interesting headstones.
