Visited with my friend and the owners were very welcoming, they even let us have a look round the gallery although they were closed! Will definitely visit again when they re-open in February. Lots of interesting pictures and crafts!

Visit here a couple of times whenever we're staying in keswick. Lovely coffee, scones etc and lovely gallery and shop. Definitely worth visiting.

After driving past Thornthwaite for 12 years we decided to pay it a visit. We should have popped in before! This art shop has a wide range of local painting, photos, cards, sculpture, books, ceramics, bespoke furniture and jewelry. The Lake District has a good range of art shops but this well worth the short detour from the A66. It... More

Small[parking area and wheelchair access for my wife was difficult.Excellent range of local skills and souvenirs but I felt some rather pricey particularly the photographs.Staff friendly and helpful and small coffee shop was good.

This gallery has something for everyone. It has mainly local crafts people with great skill producing wonderful art and gifts. No visit to this area is complete without a visit to this gallery come gift centre. It also has a lovely cafe area within the gallery. A place you should certainly visit if in the area.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Loved looking at all the different arts and crafts. Delicious coffee and cake. Very accepting of our autistic son and baby grandson. Yes its off the beaten track, but not too much, but it is well worth a visit. We will make this a regular tea shop stop, with shopping thrown in, fab.

Not really one for shopping but, of course, the trouble and strife loves it! This gallery is found up a small lane off a road away from the A66 and is just superb. You enter an old building that has been beautifully restored and is just laden with artwork, craftwork, wood turnings, mirrors - you name it, it is there.... More

After spending a busy morning in Keswick, we decided to call at the Gallery for lunch after reading the good reviews on Trip Advisor. Though away from the main road, up a very narrow lane with a small car park, it is well worth a visit to see the wide range of top quality art work for sale. We thoroughly... More

Thornthwaite has a forest and a dingly dell river to explore by quiet footpaths. Off the main Keswick to Cockermouth bypass lies a coffee cum art gallery par excellence. I have spent many an hour examining the upmarket furniture and art ideas on show whilst sitting with a cake and coffee at this halfway point on a route from braithwaite... More

I went to this lovely little cafe last summer on my way back from a walk in Whinlatter forest. I only ordered a coffee and a scone but it was really nice. I sat outside as it was nice weather and I was quite muddy. I was the only one in the cafe as well so it lacked atmosphere, but... More
