We had done lots of big climbs and our legs were aching so opted for a gentle walk. Thirlmere was beautiful and peaceful. We were able to get down to the water as well as walk through the trees. We came back along the fell...More

The pictures speak for themselves, got there around 10am and the water was calm for 45 mins before the breeze picked up, but such a lovely place

This lake just south of Keswick is quiet and sees little visitors, perfect for a quiet day out by the water. Lots of trails around the lake. Parking at intervals along the path.

Thirlmere is a lovely popular place which is always busy whatever the weather. There are some stunning views on many different walks, including waterfalls and Harrops Tarn.

Had to stop and take photos of the amazing scenery around this reservoir. On a clear day it's so beautiful. It's just a shame the traffic is heavy at times.
