Absolutely stunning place with the most amazing views from all areas around the lake. I set off from the Theatre by the Lake heading past Friar’s Cragg, this side of the lake isn’t as accessible lakeshore as the other side with one section at Kettlewell carpark coming to an end and you have to cross the main road, go through the woods and come out near the Lodore end. This side also isn’t accessible for wheelchair users unless you go via the road in sections which is quite narrow and busy. If you’re in the Lakes you have to visit here for the most amazing views!

There is parking available next to the theatre but it is chargeable. We walked from the theatre to Friars Crag with the pushchair. The route is flat but it was busy and unfortunately there was some dog foul about.

Easy to walk along the east bank and all the best views unfold as you do so. Only a few mins from the centre of Keswick and flat and pushchair friendly for much of the way. Busy though and needed to work hard to maintain social distancing.
