We are staying at a hotel nearby and visited this park. It has everything. Lawn tennis, bowls and great keep fit exercise machines free of charge. It’s well looked after and a very relaxing area with great views.

This is such a lovely park to visit. It reminds me of the northern park I lived close to when I was a child, bowling greens, putting, tennis. So well kept, it's a joy, so peaceful.

This park is kept in immaculate condition ( by just 3 personnel we were told. Tennis courts, flat green bowls ( which we sampled ) and nice gardens close to the river. Also putting.

For runner's this is the venue for the local Park Run (in normal times) 5 laps of the perimeter and the distances are marked along the route. Grass Tennis Courts too - that is rare in a public park - they looked well kept.
