We visited here as we were driving to Keswick. It’s was a great little find. Nice walk the scenery and the cave are lovely.

Every time we visit the lakes we always walk around Rydal Water as it’s not too long a walk when you’ve only got an hour or two.

Whole area is breathtaking with great walks between Ambleside and Grasmere. Rydal caves were man made. On a sunny day there'd be few better places to be than in this area.

Hi we drove to Rydal water I think you would need to catch a bus ring up a tourist information they would help.

There is a NT car park nearby. Several pounds for a few hours. Not sure of price for longer

The two caves are above Rydal Water and one was once the home of a hermit.
