Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thought it was going to be a 1 star rating as the tram was 20 minutes late and it was freezing cold, then it turned up the kids face said it all.
The staff were lovely we soon forgot about the lateness, we took blankets as I remembered the old trams being cold but it was well heated not only did we non need blankets we took our coats off.
The trip through the lights were good and good views all round. We will certainly be doing it again next year.

The mini festive tour was amazing! The tram was decorated with xmas garlands and xmas lights, santa greeted us as we were boarding,my 5yr old grandson was absolutely amazed when he seen him, santa also gave every child a little bag and told them he had put a piece of paper in it so they could write there xmas list and then post it in a letter box when we get off the tram, the whole experience was so lovely.

The festive tram ride was amazing! Our little boy lived the festive tram with decorations and Santa on board! He got a picture with Santa and was laughing away with him then wrote his list and posted it on the way off the tram.. so hope this continues!

Always a major part of our trip to Blackpool. Love the illuminated trams and remembered to book early enough this time

Paid for the mini festive tour for 2 adults and 2 children.
Nothing special, even Santa wasn’t that impressed. Passed out some brown bags with some colourings in. Stopped to have picture because i asked but the rest of the kids weren’t so lucky.
No interaction, a very poor performance spend your money elsewhere and use this as a lost resort for entertainment. Would have been better on the light train or ship.

Did the festive tour and it was amazing, lovely for santa to be on board and talking to the children while we seen the lights on the journey.

Went on Mini Festive Tour. £5.00 each for 25 minutes on an heritage tram. All decked out for the festive season, including Santa. Went from North pier to Pleasure Beach and back. Great old tram and get to see many of the xmas lights. Great fun. Definitely recommend. Evenings during December.

Really disappointed with heritage tram tours . Booked months in advance for illuminated tram tour . My 3 year old talked of nothing else except going on the 'Christmas train' in blackpool in the run up to our blackpool holiday. At 4.20 on the day of our booked illuminated tram ride we got an email to say the illuminated tram had a fault and a regular heritage double decker tram was to replace it . My little girl didnt understand why we wasnt going on the Christmas tram . I understand these things happen but the substitute tram / solution they offered was very disappointing. We had travelled 4 hrs to blackpool with the highlight being the illuminated tram tour.
So sadly i leave this review. The volunteers do a great job on the trams but wish they could have tried harder to give a better solution .

My father is 89 and uses a foldable walker to get around, is there space on the Tram to store his walker while we are on the promenade tour? It is smaller than most childs buggies when folded. Thanks.

Hello, I copied this from the frequently asked questions section, I hope this helps ...
Unfortunately due to the age, design and historic nature of our trams there is a high step to board all of our trams, this is between 12 and 16 inches (30 to 40cm) above the ground, there is often one further step inside the tram of around the same height.
Our staff will help as much as they can with boarding but we are unable to provide direct physical assistance.
We can accommodate a folded wheelchair.
The Illuminated Western Train tram has a wheelchair lift and one wheelchair space on board, we aim to operate this tram every evening during the Illuminations subject to availability.
I hope you have a lovely time in Blackpool and Fleetwood.

How long does the promenade round tour take (Santa one, not the illuminations one)
Heritage Tram Tour

It can take up to an hour for the whole round tour between Pleasure Beach and Bispham, if you board at North Pier you can also do part tours to either Pleasure Beach or Bispham.

Sorry, we've only just spotted the question, hope you found our heritage tram Stop ok?
Our tours this week start at 1830 and run roughly every 15 mins until 9pm and (10pm Saturday) we have extra trams running during half term holidays and weekends so you shouldn't have to wait long.
