- Owen M1 contributionProblem with the ridesThe rides had a lot of problems whit only just opening queuing for 30 minutes then been turned away as they had to shut the rides. All the staff where lovely. Personally id wait for it to be open fully so they can get all there theeding problems out of the way.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 March 2024
- John E1 contributionOverall a great dayTook ages to get in, over 30 mins queuing. Staff on the gate checking inside cigarette packets and peoples wallets is way over the top, and obviously added to the delay in getting in the park. Not happy that I paid £20 online for parking, but on the day it was only £18!! Big one was testing all day, but never opened to the public, revolution broke down when we were queuing. And please please put some cushioning on the big bolts that stick in your back on steeplechase. Apart from that, a great day was had.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 March 2024
- Panda Mom 15Redditch, United Kingdom153 contributionsWill always be Blackpool Pleasure Beach to us!Great first day back - park opened on the Saturday, got some stick (it rained for most of the day and rides have been shut for months!) so we went with an open mind. Arrived at 10.45, took 10 mins for doors to open, bag check and in by 11.05. Drinks capsules collected, easy passes collected and off we went. So many rides done through the day, lovely lunch at Ice Lounge, weather was great and ride availability great (sad but understood re big one). So pleased we renewed our season passes again this year - what a great start!Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 March 2024
- 18Everton78Liverpool, United Kingdom12 contributionsSort it outEnjoyed the day as usual (season pass holders) but running rides on one train is becoming tedious. There's no need for it and I'm not sure why they do it. Creating queues for no reason (or is it to make the place look busy?) If it continues this season I won't be renewing again. Come on PB, sort it out.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 March 2024
- Nicola PLeicester, United Kingdom5 contributionsAn amazing day at Blackpool Pleasure BeachWhat an amazing place!!! Not been for many years but was so amazingly surprised when visited for my sons birthday. Rides were incredible, fun amd exciting. Queue times were minimal! Amazing discounts in gift shop - got an amazing Icon blanket for a tenner!!! Couldn't cover the park in one day as so much to do. Staff were lovely throughout the park!! Will 100% be returning.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 14 March 2024
- Alex M1 contributionBetter than Alton towersI don’t get how people don’t like this place it’s literally my favourite place in the world. I’m going back in July again and I CANNOT WAIT. My favourite ride is probably the Wallace and Gromit ride. Anyway I really recommend 🎢Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 March 2024
- 273jaimieg11 contributionsBest value day trip in ukUsual good visit to PB. Did a day trip from scotland for 30 odd quid each , one of the best value days out in the uk , park has been spruced up over the closed season everything was spick and span kids had a ball. Only negative is still no non rider ticket , two of is paid 30 odds each just to get in with kids , all coffee shops etc had doors wide open on a freezing day so nowhere comfortable to sit , had to go over to velvet coaster. Come on PB fix this now , dont mind the money but give us some nice comfy warm places to hang out.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 March 2024

- Explorer404359462812 contributionsGreat day outI had a great day with my two grandsons on all the big rides. It was odd that the App showed Valhalla to be closed, and so a good job that we ignored this and turned up to find it open! Having all the tickets on the App can be inconvenient, and the old wrist bands were much more practicable for large parties. Also, doing away with the cheap day passes that allowed access to the park but not the rides is also inconvenient as it forces you to pay full price, even for members of the party who are not going on the rides.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 March 2024
- matt a2 contributionsStill one of the best.Still a great park, which is great value for money. operations were spot on, with most rides being a short wait. I really think there is something for everyone at this park. Always feel lucky this place is so close to home. Areas for improvement. Some more theming for sure, some more new rides not replacing the classics. No need for scanning tickets to get onto rides. It's a very mild inconvenience but the phones slow everything down. I always print ours off to speed things up. The Ghost Train needs a soundtrack again. But credit where it's due, the revamp inside is in the right direction. As for people saying make the park free again to walk around. I disagree completely. The place in the 90s used to attract trouble that would just loiter around and cause problems. It was unpleasant and people gloss over that. paying to get in has cleaned this place up drastically. I still fully support that. safer and friendly environment for everyone. We go around three times a year. Thats on top of other numerous parks. So shows how much we love the place.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 March 2024

The park opened at 10am but there were no coasters operating until later. There were a few other rides in operation. The app that shows the wait time was often inaccurate. You are better off watching what rides are in operation. I saw guests queuing for The Big One which was not showing as operating on the app but the ride staff said it was about to open. I queued for the Big Dipper which said 25 mins but it actually took me 50 mins to get on the ride. Some coasters had sand bags on seats or the seat lap bar was permanently down so you need to look which seats are available on a ride before queuing. The food and drink were very expensive. I thought about getting a Walls Twister but found out it was £5! I understand you can leave the park and re-enter if you check with the gate staff but if the park closes at 5pm this limits your ride time. Also, Valhalla was closed all day despite the app saying it would open after 1pm. You are allowed to bring water bottles but there are no free drinking fountains in the park. This is standard in most other theme parks and public places now.

Went with family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, was in park by 10am, frustratingly they were still testing rides, we qued for Icon for an hour, over half of this was ride testing. Previous years they tested rides before park opened. It looks as though staff didn't start working till 10am...this was on many rides, a good way to save staffing costs BPB...
Ride photos through App £15 would recommend easy to use and save/share.
Each ride having to scan barcode, it's ridiculous, if one of the group or child wants to go on ride and parent doesn't, parent still has to go up and que with phone. So many times Machines struggled to scan...BPB sort this out.
Big One wasn't running, understand with high winds. Valhalla didn't open till 1pm, que was 60mins, we did a speedy pass so got on quickly (£12 each!). For Speedy pass users should look at half price ponchos (£4 each!) After ride, we gave ours to another family waiting in que. Great ride, but found out later in afternoon it was closed as broke down, a staff member nearby told us it breaks down all the time...not.good enough for new/relaunched ride.
Icon, didn't see anyone go on back of coaster 'Enso' that spins, not surprising when price has gone up from £10 to £15...Come on BPB being greedy means missing out on custom, every time that ride goes round with no-one on back losing £££s.
Old Coasters such as Big Dipper and Grand National are good fun, 90-100 years old! Ppl who complain about the 'old.coasters' don't understand Blackpool and it's history.
Food just had hotdogs and burgers, overpriced as always.
Would recommend Boulevard Hotel, was able to enter park through their VIP Gates and used their car park (£20.)
The park itself is starting to look rundown, needs a freshen up and there are buildings empty/looking neglected. Majority of staff seem down, customer service is crap / without a smile.
All and all a good day, got on 9 rides and bought one ride speedy pass. However with changes, it could be so much better - from a 'Good' day to a 'Great' day.

On the whole we had a very good experience at Pleasure Beach Resort we came for the late night rides on Saturday 21st September and managed to ride 32 rides all together, I do recommend the added cost of a speedy pass on busy days to make the most of your day. We ate in coasters restaurant, the cheese nachos with chilli beef were amazing however the Service was a bit chaotic and the staff seemed a bit uninterested. All Toilets were immaculately clean all throughout the day. Most of the rides staff were pleasant enough, didn’t say much to anyone but that’s not the end of the world. The Lady in the main gift shop was welcoming and friendly and Adam in the ‘Kiss me Quick’ gift shop opposite Valhalla went out of the way to help us find what we were looking for, and he didn’t disappoint, he is an absolute credit to Pleasure beach. One thing I thought that could be improved is the amount of litter ‘behind the scenes’ especially under the big dipper going round on the pleasure beach express this really didn’t look professional at all and you can tell some of it had been there for a long time, this wouldn’t take long to clear up and would make a huge improvement. Id definitely recommend a trip to pleasure beach if you’re in Blackpool, don’t forget to book online for the best price!

Visited for twilight thrills. I used to love this park but it has definitely gone downhill over recent years and is not as good value as it used to be!
Bad points:
Many rides closed - Ice Blast, River Caves, Dodgems. Others not open until later in the day such as Valhalla which opened at 6pm. This has been an issue throughout the season as far as I can see.
Several rides have disappeared and not been replaced over the years yet they have increased the cost of their annual pass this year
Queue times on the app often inaccurate - spent 1hr 20 mins queuing for Icon when it was advertised at 45mins. Spent 45 mins waiting for infusion when should have been 10mins. Spent half hour waiting for Red Arrows when advertised as 5 mins. Nickelodeon streak also longer.
Customer services unhelpful - asked if we could have vouchers, since the 2nd time we waited for Icon to experience in the dark, it broke down when we were right at the front. Despite this and having a long wait the 1st time, guest relations just said it had been running for 12hrs and my son had an extensive ride history today (he managed to get on more rides than the rest of us but not as many as they claimed).
Too many people vaping and smoking in queues (smoking all sorts!) - they told me to tell a staff member but no staff in view until get to the stations.
Hardly any security guards visible after the entrance to manage the smokers and rude teens being intimidating if you didn't let them queue jump! Does not feel as safe as other parks like Alton Towers where they are always visible.
Not allowed to take food and drink into park so ends up really expensive for a family.
Good points:
Park was quite clean in general, including toilets
Ride operators pleasant and efficient enough
Some good coasters especially Icon, The Big One and Revolution.

Fumbling around with phones in glaring sun finding the QR code everytime we went on a ride...terrible! We bought speedy passes so fumbling around scanning both speedy passes and then the normal QR code!! You can't use the speedy passes unless you have pre booked your ride on the app. Then, it gives you a wait time of sometimes 30 minutes before you are allowed to go to the ride! On one ride, the speedy pass wait time near enough equalled the normal queue wait time, so what's the point of paying an extra £28 pp for the speedy pass? I also had trouble with the QR code scanning as the brightness was never bright enough. At one point I had an almighty panic as my phone decided to give up the ghost, and due to fiddling around with the brightness, I ended up with a completely black screen even though I made sure to charge it fully before visiting! Thankfully I got it sorted but please back to wristbands?? It was the hottest Saturday of the year so far and yet the park was no where near as busy as I've seen it in the past. I spoke to a ride attendant who said people just aren't prepared to pay this kind of money for tickets anymore. Food for thought BPB?

For myself a 'bucket list' nostalgia visit to the Pleasure Beach. I haven't been since they started charging everyone that enters (even non riders / grandparents etc) some years back. The weather was bad (which was good in a way as it was quiet with small if any queues for rides)rained nearly all day sometimes heavy.
There are a lot less rides and attractions as there were years ago. I was with my daughter and two grandchildren (7 & 8) They enjoyed Nickelodian Land and all the rides.
We all enjoyed the Rockets, Derby Racer, Alice in Wonderland, Wallace and Grommit, the Ghost Train and the Pleasure Beach Express 'family rides' The River Caves were closed. We had a relaxing 60 mins visiting the Ice Show which was excellent, with a large accomplished cast. All in all a good day 10am to 6:30 pm. Sadly I won't return (I have too many great memories of it from my childhood with my parents in the 50's and 60's and later with my family 70's to 90's
I remember visiting 2 or 3 times on a weeks holiday. It's just different now. My daughter says she will return with the children and we'd probably pay for the full length evening Ice Show Performance. With booking in advance and using some Tesco Clubcard vouchers (£41 worth) the day out cost a very reasonable £40 for the four of us, so for that money it was 'A Grand Day Out' - despite the weather. We had the best laughs in the old 1001 mirrors and Hall of Mirrors walk through attraction, the 'Haunted Swing' part was closed for some reason.

Still has the most old wooden coasters in the UK which is why I go to the BP Pleasure Beach. Last went in 2017 when I had a great time.
Overall: Had a great day with this being the only place to access this many retro wooden rollercoasters in one place in the UK but experience was nowhere near as great as 2017: Lots of rides under maintenance; Difficulty entering park; Unfriendly ride staff; Irritating need to scan phone app for entry to every ride despite only full rider tickets available now;
Detail:
In June 2024, the main entrance wasn't even open at 11am when the park opened with no signage to show how to enter the park. I and a number of people were walking up and down the street trying to find the entrance and ending up in several rubbish/parking areas after going through open gates which looked like the entrance. Eventually found you had to enter and go all the way through the arcade next to the gate but not clear at all with zero signage.
Lots of rides under maintenance; Big One not running due to high winds - disappointing but obviously but not their fault.
In 2017 I found the ride staff friendly and jovial and willing to chat and joke whilst we waited for the rides. This time - with the exception of two of them - I found them bored, disinterested and snappy when people couldn't get the wrist/phone scanners to work.
Despite the fact you can now only buy rider tickets for everyone entering the park (no 'viewer' tickets any more), you still have to scan the phone app or wristband (if you can get one!) to enter every ride: Why? You can't get into the park without a full ticket if security are doing their job so why scan every ride as it slows down the whole ride entry process with ride staff getting irritated if you can't make it scan (some rides were not great for this).
The app now displays queue times but for most rides these were absolute rubbish with queue times much worse, however compared to other parks, queues were generally not more than about 20 mins compared to hours at other parks. Therefore the need for a quick access pass system which costs a lot of money per ride seems unnecessary and just trying to make every last penny possible.
Overall, generally I enjoyed the day and just about managed to get on enough rides in the time the park was open to justify the cost and I do appreciate the older rides which aren't available elsewhere. They just need to work on a few more of the customer experience elements to bring this upto speed again.

We went as a family of 6 tickets very expensive. A lot of people are struggling financially we bought some butties before hand as the cost of fair had wiped us out. The entrance had security guards who checked everyone’s bags😳 we were told we couldn’t take the butties in we had to put them in a locker which had a charge of £4.50 🤷♀️ We were furious. Alton towers guillvers world blackpool zoo Chester zoo they don’t treat there visitors like that. We had paid online so had to go in and couldn’t upset the kids. The money it cost we wanted to have a full day and go on all the rides but the kids were hungry and thirsty and we couldn’t afford to pay the fair prices food so we had to leave. The kids we’re so upset. It’s disgusting you can’t take food and drink in especially with the way world is now and people struggling to pay there bills. I would never go to please beach again until they change the way they run it. We spoke to loads of people inside that complained about the way security people treated them and stopping them take there things in.

Thanks for sharing your experience. The security checks are in place to ensure everyone’s safety, but we understand how the restrictions on outside food can feel frustrating, especially for families managing costs. It's worth noting that tickets allow guests to leave and re-enter the park, so you could step out to eat your packed food and come back to continue enjoying the day. That said, your feedback is important, and hopefully, the park can find a way to balance safety and policies with the needs of families during these tough times.

Visited with my daughter in July and had a horrendous experience.
From being told on the phone prior to visiting that the park was shut on the two days we were visiting I had booked the Tower 2 day attraction ticket costing £86 . To then arrive and find BPB to be open! So I then paid another £61 to go there as my daughter really wanted to go! We arrived and it was so busy with school children on school trips. We got onto the derby racers which was fine. We then went to Nickeloden Land which was completely packed and couldn't get moving, even the smaller rides the queues were endless. We then began to walk around the park and seen the Big One open even though it showed on the App it wouldn't be open at all! We got in the queue and waited over and hour to get into the indoor queueing area only for it to be announced there was a technicial difficulty and to remain in the queue. We waited and after about 20 mins the ride restarted for another 5 mins, only for the announcer to come on again and said the ride was closed for 10 mins again but to remain in the queue which we did. We then were told the ride would be closed the rest of the day and the people were all told to exit the queue. My daughter was so fed up waiting We decided to walk towards the exit , as we did we seen the big one operational again with people on it! Absolutely disgraceful that I paid £61 for one ride on a horse carousel!
Don't waste your money as the owners of BPB are clearly just greedy to get people into the park as everyone now has to pay for a riders arm band and couldn't care less whether anyone gets the value from their wristband as they have the money anyway!
I have written to complain to no doubt there will be no reply!!!!!

We visited the park on Halloween so it was great to see the decorations and entertainment around the park. Although we enjoyed our day, I do think it is slightly overpriced. We took our 20 month old and had to pay £33 for him which just seems incredibly expensive considering he can only go on a small number of rides! The adults in our group did manage to go on a few bigger rides and the queue times weren’t too bad. The longest we queued was for 30 minutes to go on the big one so if you were there for the whole day and it wasn’t too busy, adults could get their moneys worth.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We're glad you enjoyed the Halloween atmosphere and entertainment. Regarding the pricing, we understand that it can feel a bit steep when considering younger children, but we do believe it’s great value for money when you take into account all the attractions and experiences offered.
For children under two, admission is actually free, which means you don’t need to pay for toddlers who might not be able to access many of the rides. For those slightly older, while some rides are limited, there are still plenty of family-friendly attractions to enjoy. Plus, the adults in your group can experience a wide range of thrilling rides, and with minimal wait times on your visit, you get even more value for your ticket.
We hope you’ll visit us again soon for another fun-filled day with the whole family!

To expand on Debbie's answer, yes it is still there (technically called The Big One now instead of Pepsi Max Big One). Although it's technically no longer sponsored by pepsi max they still have the iconic pepsi max can tunnel you go through and people still call it that

Yes the park is open every day between 10am-6pm. The park will also have its journey to hell event on the 24th and 25th between 7pm-10pm but this is a extra cost
