Blackpool Zoo is a family friendly attraction, providing fun and education for all ages. Situated only 2 miles inland the Promenade, the park is easily accessible from the M55 motorway. Over 1000 animals, birds and reptiles reside in a scenic 32 acre park amidst mature trees, lakes and spacious lawns where the kids can burn off their excess energy. All your favourites are here including big cats, elephants, giraffes, sealions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, zebras and many, many more. Opened in 2014, the new Orangutan Outlook allows visitors to get up close and personal with these charismatic apes. Open daily (except Christmas Day) from 10 am, the park's closing times vary seasonally.

An ok experience, wouldn't rush back. The zoo badly needs some investment / refurbishment, it looks tired, and to be honest, so do the animals. The only area open to get food was by the entrance / shop. Food was of poor quality, very limited...More

Thank you for your review. The zoo is constantly being refurbished or having new features added, but the work is quite often behind the scenes. Our new elephant house has cost over £2 million, but many thousands were also spent on a new filtration system...More

Thank you for your comments. During the winter, the Talks and Feeds shown on the leaflet you receive on admission, are generally carried out by our keepers, not the Education team. They do, sometimes, get delayed or have to attend to a particular species early,...More

Great day with kids and extended family. Staff as ever were very professional, kids loved all the exhibits especially the sea lions and penguins. Only downside is the limited options for meals and the prices. Take your own lunch and you'll have a great day

Blackpool Zoo is a great family day out, though to be fair, dry weather is best to enjoy it. There is so much to explore and see, and at Blackpool were very fortunate to always have new baby animals being born. There are many food...More
