When we heard the Welsh accent of Louise the bartender, we wished her Happy St. David's Day, and were immediately treated to a Welsh cake. She made us feel so welcome, as did the other locals... Myself and my husband have been coming to this pub for years, we won`t visit Blackpool without calling in. The atmosphere is brilliant and the different people we end up chatting to are very entertaining, we always have a great time and a good laugh. The staff are great too. The drinks are not watery like in some places we`ve... More

Black and white photos of old Blackpool add interest, as well as good choice of music on the juke box. Just what we needed after visiting the zoo, and been jostled by the crowds waiting for... More

The Mitre is a lovely, traditional English pub. It is just off the main promenade, so is usually quiet and perfect for a pleasant evening drink away from the crowds.
