    Magical experience (again)
We were back again in the iconic world famous ballroom for dancing and afternoon tea. Six of us/three couples this time. All of the ballroom staff are a credit, starting with the greeter, then the catering staff and organists. A real pleasure to be in their company. Wish there had been more dancers on the floor though. Maximum of around 16 on the day and sometimes just the six of us. In contrast about 60 people just sitting there watching. The dance experience lacked a bit of atmosphere for that reason. Not sure how this is resolved. In regard to the afternoon tea this was served in a very friendly manner but the sandwiches and cakes were nowhere near the same standard as the room and the music shall we say. We think that the afternoon tea offer should be upgraded in quality in combination with an increase in the cost. We would have been happy to pay more for better quality food, more in line with the status of the venue. Why shouldn’t the Tower Ballroom have a reputation for having the best catering as well as the best dance floor?

    Great visit!
Excellent visit! We were stunned by when we entered the Ballroom! The decor is stunning. Interesting to look closely at all the murals and decorative moulds. Three organists play across the day and the music on the Wurlitzer organ was amazing. Folks were dancing and the you could feel the spring dance floor bouncing. There’s a bar and light refreshments available. Book in advance for afternoon tea. All very enjoyable; some of the dancers are obviously very well trained. Great visit and we will go again.

    Lovely experience
Kids are strictly fans and they were so excited to see the ballroom. We went on a Friday morning and there were plenty of couples up dancing which was really impressive. The ballroom is beautiful and the music is lovely. Good facilities and kids enter for free.

    Keeeeeeep Dancing!
I'm a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing and love to visit the ballroom when on holiday in Blackpool. We spent a lovely 3 hours on this occasion, just sitting watching the dancers, having a wee drink of juice, and enjoying the music. Would love to be brave enough to get up and have a dance, however the majority of the dancers there seem to be regulars and come with their dancing shoes to change into, their fancy matching ourfits, and dont put a foot wrong!! It really is a lovely ballroom and a nice way to spend a relaxing few hours.
Hello, I'm really thrilled that you've rated us a 5* day out, this really means a lot to us here at the Tower! The Ballroom is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere and architecture whilst everyone dances to the famous Wurlitzer and is very special to us Its elegance and beauty holds a lot of history. Awesome
This beautiful ballroom exceeded our expectations. Its absolutely stunning. My mother a very keen ballroom dancer) had told me about the floor and you can really feel the spring. We will be watching Strictly with added interest this year. The organist was excellent and it was wonderful watching a few couples turning up to dance even at ten o'clock in the morning. We didn't try the tea and cake as we'd had a full breakfast only an hour or so before, but it looked pretty good.

    Ballroom Visit
I brought my 13 year old granddaughter to Blackpool at the weekend. After going up the Blackpool Tower, we enjoyed spending an hour or two in the Ballroom watching the dancers and listening to the Wurlitzer. As a long time fan of Strictly, she was well impressed with the ambience of the Ballroom. She wanted to give a special mention to Ray on the door of the Ballroom - who was extremely kind in helping us rearrange times for other venues on the Blackpool Pass tickets we had purchased. He could not do enough for us, told us a bit about the history of the Ballroom and told us to enjoy a wee dance. Evie kept saying all day that Ray was the nicest person we had met since arriving in Blackpool - so a well deserved pat on the back to Ray! We had a great time. Thanks. Carol and Evie from Edinburgh.

    A beautiful historical building.
A loverly 1/2 hour in the ballroom watching the dancers and listening to the organist. Beautiful historic building that we visited with our weekly attraction passes. Not something we would have normally done, especially with a 5 year old, but glad we did.

    Great fun!
A wonderful couple of hours enjoying the afternoon tea! Don't listen to the poor reviews, its a case of you get what you pay for, for £20 which includes admission I'm not sure what some people expect! The sandwiches and cakes were perfectly palatable, the tea piping hot. Shout out to Tracey our server who was very friendly and helpful. We even managed a dance with thanks to the man (Graham?) who showed us all the barn dance steps. Excellent fun for Strictly fans and great value for money. Added bonus that we got to watch the red Arrows from the 5th floor afterwards too.

Beautiful historic ballroom and amazing afternoon tea experience
This historic ballroom is a must-see in Blackpool. Entry to the ballroom itself is free and you can spend as much time as you want either dancing to the live music or watching the dancers on the ballroom floor. There's a bar inside where you can get food and snacks. I would highly recommend booking in for the afternoon tea experience to really make it a memorable visit.

This was my first visit to the Iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, and it didn't disappoint. It is a truly magnificent building and to finally see and experience it in person was very special. The wurlitzer was being played and there were many couples waltzing, foxtroting and cha cha chaing around the floor, which was lovely to see. I even had the chance to join in with a couple of barn dances!
Unfortunately, I do have to send my disappointment to Merlin Entertainment regarding the food and beverage organisation. We hadn't pre-booked Afternoon Teas, and when we arrived and were told that it wasn't possible because they were fully booked, we were totally fine with that. However, we were told that we could still get Cream Teas from the bar. That was until we got to the bar, to be told that you had to order them online, and we couldn't have any, anyway, because they had no spare scones!!? This was disappointing and very poor service we thought. Merlin really needs to look at it's 'Book everything Online' policy. For goodness sake, we only wanted to order a couple of cups of tea and a scone. It seems ridiculous! Incidentally, prior to our visit I had also phoned the Tower to enquire about booking Afternoon Teas, and was also informed that you could not book over the phone either - it is only online!
I am not criticising the staff who were only doing there job after all, and were not rude or discourteous in any way, but we were left disappointed by this whole Online affair! This was also on top of the fact that a week before heading to Blackpool, we had also received an email from Merlin informing us that the Tower itself would be closed the day we had booked to go!
In summary, the Ballroom is magnificent and more than worth a visit, but Merlin need to look into their booking procedures - could do better!

Visited yesterday, arrived at 11.30 am & stayed until the end, 4pm.
We danced to everything we knew & had a brilliant time.

The floor & surroundings are just beautiful & the organists were really good, playing some lovely music to dance to.

There was a good selection of dances, ballroom, latin, sequence & a couple of easy, party dances for everyone to join in.

We also enjoyed watching the Viennese Waltz & Paso which we don’t know.

The time just flew & my partner registered 12,000 steps which was a bonus!! 😂

We visited the ballroom as Strictly fans its worth a visit. We decided the day before to book tickets for just entry. It was quite busy but people generally seem to stay for a period of time for a coffee and then move so we managed to get a table. It was lovely to sit with s coffee and a cake and watch people dancing. We then went up onto ghe balconies to see from above.

The room itself is amazing so ornate for the era at the time and such history to it a special place.

You can book for afternoon tea which is slightly more and seemed to be set up at ond side of the room.

The queue for the bar area took a while to get served but I think this was just timing ov when we arrived.

Dancers obviously come along for the opportunity to dance at the ballroom and on the odd easy one people (non dancers) were able to have a go if they wished.

Glad we visited.

The whole room was beautiful and enchanting. The doorman, Francis, was very welcoming and informative. God bless you. Well worth a visit, we'll be back. 🙂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very disappointed after being able to purchase admission tickets for the ballroom to find when we tried to enter it was booked out for a private function! This was supposed to be a special visit for an anniversary with accommodation booked as well so we could really enjoy ourselves. Why allow tickets to be sold when you know people can’t get in! Bittersweet visit.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. From when we arrived, the staff were helpfull. Being in a wheelchair the staff were helpful in getting us to the ball room.

We were taking an elderly friend of ours out for the afternoon for her 90th birthday and had not been to the Tower ballroom since she was 17.

The lift was broken for the final steps into the ballroon and was being replaced so we had a guided tour around the back way into the ballroom showing us the area that's used when strictly is in town which was really nice

We were shown to our seats at the front of the seating area with an un obstructed view of the people dancing.

The afternoon tea was really nice, fresh made sandwiches and fresh baked cakes. The serving staff were lovely and really friendly and helpful,

It was nice to see the variety of people dancing, from the young to the old, from novice dancers to the experienced dancers. The music was really nice coming from the 90 year old concert organ was amazing.

It's a wonderful experience for people of any age.
