    Victorian Splendor!
Beautiful, especially since they restored many of the original features and revealed the true original features in the cafe. If only it had never been changed, however it is gorgeous more so in the night. Though it is no longer a garden it is still a pleasant place to sit and rest a while. I have been to many an event here and always had a great time with family of all ages.

James Martin Live UK Tour 2023
My friend treated me to a show at the Opera House in Blackpool’s Famous Winter Gardens and we saw James Martin. The actual venue was a vast leisure complex with lots of bars and places to eat inside. We did not realise until we arrived! The building itself was very grand and quite spectacular, clearly very old and I would expect it is a listed building with some history and stories to tell. James Martin was amazing, funny, talented and loads of charisma. He told stories of his life, called on 1970s nostalgia, cooked dishes and even sang and played guitar for his audience. Great show and great venue.

    Everybody’s talking about Jamie
We went to see Everybody’s talking about Jamie at the end of November and it was brilliant. We sat in the grand circle, row K I think. Good view of all the stage and of the actors and actresses. Brilliant sound too. Just a little too far away for us to be able to tell facial expressions. Really lovely local ice cream although a tad expensive!

    Rocket Man show 🎤
The rocket man show! Wow!! Amazing show and Jonny love was fantastic 👌🏼 The venue was great, quite pricey for drinks in the bar but to be expected. Seating in the circle on row A gave a great view 😀

    Great place to visit
We visited for the Valhalla event and it's our first time visiting and what a great place. The staff I met along the day were so friendly and welcoming. They kept up with the flows of the bars and never waited to long to grab a drink, the choice of food was quite low but I did try a pie peas and gravy and was delicious but maybe a option of chips would be good to go with the burgers and hot dogs or just as a easy snack to eat. There was one lad behind the bar with short hair then a bun at the top he was the most friendly and we enjoyed watching him enjoying the music when he was stood waiting to serve people he made my night.

    Concert at Winter Gardens
We visited recently for the Paloma Faith concert (she was fabulous). Great atmosphere. The venue was very good for options of service for drinks etc. didn’t seem to be massive queues as with some places. Strangely enough for a concert there was an interval but we got served quickly and efficiently at the lounge bar with time to sit and enjoy our drinks. We returned next day for a coffee in the cafe area which again had friendly staff with good service. The venue was very interesting historically.

Jack James in Old Victoria Bar amazing
A rainy afternoon in Blackpool what do you do? Well we decided to go to the Old Victoria Bar in the Winter Gardens and thoroughly enjoyed the free entertainment. Jack James has the most amazing voice and the song choice was greatso much so that people were up dancing and singing along Thank you Jack for making our day. Love Chris and Jan.

    Great night
We came to watch the Jason Manford and friend’s comedy festival. We had a great time. We booked the VIP lounge for pre show drinks which was great. The server in there was so attentive and it was well worth going in there

    Great place to see.
This place is fascinating to walk through with all the original architecture on show. You can get guided tours of the place. There is two theatres in here, a bar and the Empress Bar/Bistro along with toilets. Beware both lots of toilets are down a set of stairs to access. We had a light lunch in the bistro of sandwiches. Once ordered, at the till, they took a little while to come to the table as the are freshly made. Both our sandwiches were very nice but my wife said her steak one could have done with some sort of sauce on it as it was a bit dry. At the end of the building is a statue of Morecombe and Wise.

    Winter Gardens needs a refurbishment
Visited Winter Gardens to watch the superb Blood Brothers. Excellent show with a wonderful cast. Only negative comment is the worsening condition of Winter Gardens. Looking very tired and in desperate need of a refurbishment. The front of the stage is very poor with chipped wood visible .

Blackpool's Winter Gardens plays host every year to one, if not, the biggest magic convention in the world. The site provides numerous halls & stages for all those performing & a huge hall houses all the dealers selling their wares to a packed out public. There are ample cafes & bars catering for thousands of customers & despite the sheer size of the place, due to the layout of the building, you always manage to bump into a familiar face in the communal areas of the venue. There are certain parts of the building in need of maintenance/restoration but these were more the 'hidden corners' (small leaks from the ceiling, although Storm Dennis was at it's worst at the time) - the main areas were fine. Long may this great venue continue to host the Blackpool Magic Convention.

The most famous venue in this seaside resort and one of Europe's biggest entertainment complexes The Winter Gardens is a magnificent looking building.
Constructed in 1878 ,it's such an iconic building, we never ventured inside to visit the famous bar but passed The Winter Gardens on our way to The Bank Bar and Scruffy Murphys Pub ,still as impressive a looking building as when I first viewed it and now finally we are coming out of this terrible pandemic it should be completely open to the public soon.
Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Church Street.

We went to the Winter Gardens to see a show in the Opera House, it was Queen’s We Will Rock You. It was fabulous. We used to live in Blackpool but moved over to Northern Ireland to be near my daughter and grandchildren almost 9 years ago. We return when we can to see family and catch a show or 2 or if anything is on at the theatre we will book some seats.

This theatre is lovely inside and the seats are pretty comfortable. There are a few bars if you want a drink beforehand or during the interval (Galleon bar or the theatre bars where you can pre-order your drinks, save you queueing).

The tickets are very reasonable (a lot cheaper than London). You can opt to go on the mailing list to receive information regarding new shows etc

Definitely worth a visit.

Enjoy.

We went to see this show at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Saturday. All of us thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn't hesistate to go again. We thought the acting and singing was superb, especially the lead actor and actress. The audience participation was amazing and it made for a really great atmosphere. We were amazed at how well they slotted each song in, to fit appropriatley into the storyline.
Would definitely recommend this show to any Queen fans, it won't disappoint!
The theatre itself is brilliant, very comfy seats with plenty of legroom (at least in the circle section where we were sat) We are already planning a couple of return visits to watch 'Sound of Music' and 'Grease'.

The Winter Gardens is a lovely venue wich houses: eateries, The Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom and a large Opera House.
The Opera House is a vast Art Deco theatre which houses many popular touring Musical Theatre productions. The shows are often in and out within a week so hurry to catch them; you won't be disappointed.

fabulous show been wanting to go for years wasnt dissappointed soooo good. Everything from the singers the acting the dancing even the background stages absolutly brilliant. Cant praise it enough, my only gripe is for the winter gardens seating itself we had front row seats at the end i cant tell you how many people who fell over us plus when i got up to get an ice cream someone actually fell ontop of my friend there is no room at all.
It would put me off watching it at the winter gardens again but i would see the show again somewhere else

Drinks slightly expensive, although staff did keep the ques moving at a good pace.

Unfortunately no tables had space to sit, so we only spent just over an hour at the event. We enjoyed seeing some of the dance moves from the more senior aged people.

If we could have had a seat we would have stayed to see the New Year in.

After seeing adverts and billboards we thought we would pop down and join the Christmas vibe.
Whatever was going on in the Winter Gardens I suggest you Close down and start again to avoid the disappointment of visitors.
There were 3 wooden stalls, 1 hook a duck £4(win something from poundland) Dodgems and 3 toddler rides, a snow dome, oh and a table of luxury cookies.
With teenagers we were in and out in 15mins.
Outside on the front The sky ride £7.50 per person which the kids enjoyed, went to the Skate rink next to be told we had to book, we were there at 1pm and the next available session was 3pm 😡 and any kid wanting to skate need someone over 16 to skate with them or else they cant go on.
1 star review just for the sky ride or else it deserves a 0.

Always worth a visit when in Blackpool. Shame to see how quiet it was due to the Covid restrictions

We took our 8 year old to the Viking exhibition which was well presented and interesting . The young guy on duty in the exhibition ( 21.10) was excellent

Had lunch in the Mazzei Cafe which was lovely

All the staff in the Winter Gardens we met were friendly and helpful and we felt very safe with all the precautions in place

We visited to watch Jane McDonald at the Opera House and were very impressed with this venue. The Winter Gardens are very well presented, with a light and airy feel. There is a huge bar area, where you can order your interval drinks as well as enjoy pre-theatre drinks. We loved the Spanish galleon bar in particular. There is also a very smart looking restaurant here. There are plenty of public toilets too. The Opera House itself is huge. We had booked seats in the balcony, which involved climbing up 3 flights of stairs. The balcony area is very steep and there are no handrails on the stairways, so you do need to be able bodied to sit up there. There is also not a huge amount of leg room, so you may need to book an end of row seat in order to stretch out. We had a fantastic view from row B and thoroughly enjoyed the show. There are some small bar areas within the opera house itself, so you can buy interval drinks there instead of having to walk down the stairs back to the Winter Gardens…wish we had known that beforehand! Overall, this is a very impressive venue for a great night out.
