Saturday 25th March we were walking about exploring and sightseeing in Blackpool. This entertainment complex and theatre is one of the most eye-catching buildings we saw. It is located along Church Street, a short distance from the seafront and in the shadow of the mighty Blackpool Tower. A Grade II listed building which opened it's doors in 1878. We did not go into the building, however we did stop for a few moments to admire the facade of the building. The iconic frontage is rather unmissable walking by with it's high arched roof above the entrance with the large blue letters spelling out the name of the venue. They are above a number of small panelled windows. The pavement, at the front of building, is blocked paved with the words "Winter Gardens" embedded into the design.

Went to see The Commitments yesterday afternoon - 3 May 2023. Show was ok but the venue is lovely. Have been to many shows pre lockdown and have been to a few since everything has opened up again. Plenty of choice for future visits.

Really enjoyed seeing Mamma Mia here with my mum. We sat in the upper circle and had a good view. Toilets very clean and staff very helpful. My mum lost her snood and though they tried to look for it, we’ve lost it for good! 😥 that was the only bad thing, the rest of our trip was wonderful!

Went to Navi Micheal Jackson. Seen Navi before he was outstanding waiting a year to watch him again, Which this time was horrible disappointment. He kept going of stage and out coming back out he was of breath not good at all. Would think again before going to watch him. Was great at all. No dancing from him and only 3 backing dancer which wasn’t in time with each other. Wouldn’t rush to go and see him. Disappointed.

We booked afternoon tea recently , 1 person requested no cheese ,but got a cheese sandwich, 2nd person requested vegetarian, and got a meat sandwich. The sandwiches did not taste or look freshly made, the salad items were soggy and limp. The scones were nice ,but found the cakes very sweet and sickly. Won't be in any rush to book again. The waitress was pleasant and friendly.

I've been coming here for years and have been twice in the last month. I've been reminded how lovely it really is. Lots of original features. It's always clean and the staff are really helpful. Find a great show and visit soon!

We went to see Dirty Dancing at the Winter Gardens. What a fabulous show myself and my husband enjoyed every minute from start to finish and I would highly recommend the show. However the wine was over £10 for a 250ml glass which I think is extortionate

Beautiful, especially since they restored many of the original features and revealed the true original features in the cafe. If only it had never been changed, however it is gorgeous more so in the night. Though it is no longer a garden it is still a pleasant place to sit and rest a while. I have been to many an event here and always had a great time with family of all ages.

My friend treated me to a show at the Opera House in Blackpool’s Famous Winter Gardens and we saw James Martin. The actual venue was a vast leisure complex with lots of bars and places to eat inside. We did not realise until we arrived! The building itself was very grand and quite spectacular,clearly very old and I would expect it is a listed building with some history and stories to tell. James Martin was amazing, funny, talented and loads of charisma. He told stories of his life, called on 1970s nostalgia, cooked dishes and even sang and played guitar for his audience. Great show and great venue.
