The Grand Theatre was designed by Frank Matcham in 1894. This amazing space is a wonder of restoration and revival, presenting a full range of every performing artform, as Blackpool's community theatre, Lancashire's preferred opera house and Britain's National Theatre of Variety.

This has to be one of the most beautiful theatres of its time. The cream and gold ornate decoration and chandeliers are amazing. The tiers and "royal boxes" add the the glamour. The only snag is the very small foyer. The seating is beautifully carved wood and there is plenty of leg room.. I never cease to be amazed by... More

Went to the Grand to watch the school alive show. Thought we would have a good night watching our children in the show, One chance we could get to enjoy our night with not having the kids under our feet. Our tickets was for the very top floor, the Staff didn't have a clue where we was sitting, by the... More

I thought "Vampires Rock Ghost Train" might just be "Vampires Rock" with different songs. It was. And it's getting boring. Most of the cast sing well and it was great that more of them were given a chance. Sadly there's, as ever, too much shouting! There is a world of difference between singing loudly and shouting! The comedy is still... More

The Elvis Years was a travel in time charting Elvis's years from his first recording with the Sun Recording studio to his shows in Las Vegas. The first half of the show wasn't particularly exciting and the production felt it was done very much to a budget. The stage had a keyboard, drums, and lead and base guitar and nothing... More

Visited several times throughout December and January for the panto. Lovely theatre, especially recommend stalls or the very ends of the circle for a great view. The balcony/galley should be avoided at all costs though! Uncomfortable with not much room and an awful view.

Russian ballet Swan Lake, superb. Stage a little narrow for ballet of this quality, but true professional performers coped well. Wonderful evening. Staff very helpful and kind.

Fantastic to see Swan Lake in Blackpool. The Grand Theatre offers some brilliant shows in the most exquisite setting. The staff are friendly and the prices are good. It would be great to see more involvement with the local schools to fully immerse local students in the arts. Blackpool can get a really bad name but places like this really... More

Came here to see a brass band. Not my usual source of entertainment but when you sit down and look around and marvel at the splendour of this magnificent place anything that happens here as to be good. The architecture oozes nostalgia of a bygone era. A time when entertainment came from real people playing real instruments and interacting with... More
