    Enjoyable evening overall
Not been to The Grand Theatre for a few years but wanted to see 2.22 A Ghost Story. Sat in front row dress circle, great view, we knew the seats are snug so not an issue at all. The sound quality wasn't quite up to scratch where we were sat as there was a constant high pitch humming sound in the background & had to listen intently as couldn't always catch all the dialog. Had drinks in the bar on arrival, reasonable prices, friendly staff & had good service.

Great venue and fantastic show 😃
We never been to this theatre before. We went to see The Unfortunate show and we had amazing time. The venue itself is beautiful, clean with comfortable seats,we were in row F ,which was great, watching the show with no issues. The staff working there was so nice and professional,it was a real pleasure for us to see that,we in the North, also have the theatre like Blackpool Grand theatre! We definitely will be back! Now,the show,The Unfortunate. We had so much fun, it was brilliant performance, the singing was outstanding and all actors kept us entertained for the whole performance. If you are open minded and want to see something different, book your tickets with no hesitation.

    Brilliant
We came here twice in April to see two children's shows (Sooty and Andy & The Band). During the Sooty show we were sat in the stalls and for Andy in the Upper Circle. Both times the seats gave really good views, although when everyone stood up as party of one bit of the Sooty Show we could no longer see the stage. If everyone keeps sitting then the view is fine. There is only a small foyer in the building so when you arrive it can become a bit cramped and confusing as to where you are supposed to go, especially if people are buying merchandise etc. The seats were comfortable and the decor of the theatre was lovely. The upper circle seats were advertised as 'limited leg room' but we had no problems at all (5'6"), although taller guests may have an issue. We thoroughly enjoyed the two shows.

    PANTO- Cinderella 2024
PANTO - Cinderella. The last time I went to see a pantomine, was as a child. Now 56 years of age and tagged along to this beautiful venue and show with family and two young grand daughters. Steve Royle (buttons)!! I have not laughed as much for a long time. I laughed at you, I laughed at the cast who were also laughing because of you. I had tears running down my face, my jaw ached as did my ribs. The show & entire cast made this a very enjoyable night. Music and singing was amazing and I am always very jealous of people with natural musical talent. I messaged other family members after this and said you have got to go. Brilliant - thank you all for an amazing night of entertainment. Buttons - Cinders might not love you...but we do lol

Been going to Blackpool for a few days every year since 87 but have never been to 'The Grand'. It's a beautiful old building that has plenty of character.

The show 'Around The World in 80's Days' had to be seen as this was our era. The show was at best decent, although there were some very talented cast members. Songs from the 80's were constant, it wasn't a great night but enjoyable all the same.

Sadly there were two idiots a couple of rows behind us, their chatter getting constantly louder and the cranking of cans repetitive. No staff member during the first half did or said anything to them but those of us sitting around them made our point to individual members of staff during the interval. These two should never have been let in but with our concerns been voiced they were kicked out by a member of staff who's name I never noticed, thank you to him! He was very professional in coming and apologising to us, presumably it was the manager who came later and did the same.

As said the show wasn't great but that could just be our preference, the building is worth a look inside although doesn't look much from outside!

Worth the admission to see this incredible theatre that opened in 1894. The Victorian architect Frank Matcham's brief, was to build the "prettiest theatre in the land” he certainly achieved that. The staff are friendly and helpful, I am registered visually impaired and found the directions/assistance to locate my seat helpful. The toilets were clean. Finally the show we saw.. the haunting of Blaine manor was excellent. So much so that a fellow theatre goer was back for a second viewing. The cast and production team rightly deserved the standing ovation we gave. The Blackpool grand theatre is on my list of must return to entertainment venues when I return to Blackpool

We visited The Grand in June to watch "The Rise and Fall of Little Voice". It was an afternoon show (2pm). Due to 'technical issues' there was a delay in it starting, and rather than get everyone inside and seated we were all stood outside waiting. This was annoying as there was no explanation given as to what the cause of the delay was - either at the time, or when we eventually got inside.

The seats were good and the view from the seats I7 and I9 (stalls) was excellent.

The show itself was a bit surprising. There was quite a lot of swearing in the show. This was a surprise as there were some children in the audience and with it being an afternoon show I didn't really expect this.

The ice cream I purchased at the interval was very nice (Salted Caramel) and although expensive and small, was the traditional thing to have at the theatre and although there was a bit of a queue, I was served quite quickly.

There are things that could have been done better - primarily keeping people informed of the reason for the delay which was not done.

The theatre is lovely though and despite the issues would certainly visit again in the future.

This is an absolutely beautiful theatre and well worth visiting for its own sake. My wife and I regularly attend shows and plays here and try to support the theatre as much as possible. My one frustration is that the pricing for some shows is unrealistic. I am quite happy to pay a small premium if it helps the preservation and improvement of a lovely local theatre, but our recent experience shows how this is being overplayed.

We recently wanted to see the Varna Ballet's performance of Giselle, but having looked at the pricing, we discovered that tickets were double the cost of those for performances ten days later at the Liverpool Empire. In the end we went to Liverpool by train, having purchased the equivalent tickets to those we would have bought for The Grand, and still ended up about £35 better off (even after the train fares) than if we had driven eight miles to Blackpool. It gives me no pleasure to write this, but if ticket prices do not become more competitive, this lovely venue will end up putting itself out of business.

We will definitely continue visiting the Grand, but do not intend to be taken for mugs, and will be looking at prices elsewhere for touring productions.

We went to Father Brown Murder mystery play on sat March 26th . What a disappointment ! The actors were mumbling even the star John Lyon’s . There seemed to be no plot at all . Just repeated conversations !
We were so bored and do angry that we had spent over £50 for our tickets to be faced with a rubbish performance !
This is definitely the last time we shall visit the Grand . There is only one show which we enjoyed in Jan 22 and that was Johnny Cash
On Saturday eve we left at the first interval because we could’nt stand any more ! We could have gone to a nice restaurant for dinner with the money we spent on these tickets ! 😡
Never again !

Lovely overall theatre, but my goodness the seating in the gallery is poor.
Went to see Frankie Boyle, who was O.K. but to have people behind with knees in your back and unavoidably having our knees in the people in front, did tend to take a lot from the Evening.
As an aside for an anti establishment, anarchic comedian he didn't half have some restrictive do's and don'ts for his performance. Quite amusingly authoritarian in many respects!

Recently visited The Grand to see the 2023 tour of Titanic The Musical. The show was terrific, however, the audience were noisy and undisciplined (sweet wrappers / cans being opened / mobile phones (around 5) etc - just spoils it for those of us interested enough to care and who have some respect for those on stage. Also, the seats are bloody uncomfortable. I sat in the stalls (paid £40) and found the seats to be so hard. I also heard two ladies on the row in front saying the same thing. It’s a beautiful building, which was pretty packed (great to see) but it really requires some urgent TLC. Can’t go back to sit on those seats for a good while I’m afraid.

I found the show incredibly amateurish.. like the performers had just stepped out of performing arts school. The dancers were out of time and the circus acts weren’t up to much. Very disappointed considering how much I paid for the tickets.

Went to see Titanic the Musical.
Really looking forward to this show. What a disappointment. The found was so bad that we missed most of the telling of the story. The start when Ismay giving his version of the Titanic was so poor, it was as if he was just singing to himself, no clarity, poor sound. Didn’t set the scene for me. A couple of the songs were ok and clear enough to get the message across. In fact it was so bad, we left at the interval and went home.
Normally the Grand do great shows, but sadly not this one.
