Situated next to the catherdral, the Guildhall is an interesting place to visit. A great old building with interesting things to look at and smell along the way. Entry was free and so well worth popping in for a short visit.

Went and had a quick look today - it's free to get in and is a very old building with lots of history itself. Once inside you can have a good look around and it's all as it was back in the day. There are some historic artifacts that are in show and the walls in each room give you... More

If you choose to visit, ensure you wear appropriate footwear to cope with the cobbles and other uneven surfaces. You may avoid twisting ankles and getting sprains as we unfortunately did. Thankfully, we did wrap up in coats, scarves, hats and gloves as its a very, very cold place to visit. We were a group of adults, and the visit... More

We called in from time to time as it is very close to where we live and there is always something going on - either in the day time or at night. The MR James ghost stories in the evening last year were brilliant - candle light and very atmospheric. We went just to have a look round last week... More

Entry was free (donations requested) and sections were in use for childrens entertainment so didn't really see it all as we were not interested in the shows. However we enjoyed what we did see, for me seeing the very old building in very good condition brought to life many photos I'd seen of similar buildings from the era. We were... More

Lovely old building, tons information on the way round and never seems to be very busy. This is right by the Cathedral too with King Richard III centre, great if you are visiting Leicester as everything is all in one place! Lovely part of the town too!

We came to see the Guildhall last year as my partner and I had not been since childhood; we were not disappointed! It may be fairly small but incredibly interesting with a lovely little giftshop! This little corner of Leicester so city centre is beautiful and absolutely steeped in history, totally worth going!
