Very interesting art galleries with some very good exhibits. Don't miss the large L.S. Lowry - even if you don't like Lowry you'll like this one - very impressive. A good selection. Need at least 2 hours to appreciate. Wonderful surroundings and very delightful, historic...More

Where all are made welcome. I have rarely seen such a mix of ages , ethnic backgrounds and interest levels so engaged and evidently enjoying themselves judging by the noise levels. We went to visit the Picasso ceramics but also got caught up in the...More

We have been here a few times with our 2 children (now 5 & 7) they love it. There is so much to see and do. Lots of fun learning too. Even the cafe is great. The only downside is it's location with no real...More

Unfortunately building works had closed off the imposing front entrance and the first floor, but the parts still open were impressive. Some of the specimens in the nature dioramas seemed a bit seedy, but the accompanying interactive features more than made up for this. There...More

In an attractive location, with cheap parking, this museum is free, with a reasonably priced cafe. The Egyptian section may be small but it has three or four mummies on display - which is to say, both the wrapped human bundle, and both inner and...More

Popped in here with a couple of hours to spare. An interesting little museum. It was a shame that due to works we could not get to all the exhibits, but the dinosaurs were enjoyable.

We spent a very pleasant morning in here. It isn't very big but its free and very interesting. My son loved the dinosaurs and the Egyptian sections. Lots of interesting local pieces and everything was well tagged and explained.

I kind of expected a little bit more but what was there was interesting. It would have been nice to have a few staff around or someone to ask questions to though.

Worth a visit - and a good stop for a cup of coffee but we will want to return when the work has finished as it limits the experience. We also expected something about Leicester City football success but this was only a temporary exhibition...More
