Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a road with nice Indian shops and restaurants. We did all our Diwali shopping from here. It has a lot of eating options.

Fantastic shopping and food. First got breakfast at Chaiiwala with delicious karak chai, then browsed the clothes shop and ate lunch at Amaravathi. The South Indian food was delicious. Everyone was super helpful in the shops even if I didn't know what things were called or what I wanted! I finished my trip by getting some delicious sweets at Aarti Sweet Centre. Yum! Reminds me of my travels around the world.

not one of the great road but u are expected to lot of Indians and lot of Indian eateries.. So, that si what u will get. Plenty of options for everyone eat and buy, from food, to garments, to savories, snacks. and Obviously PAAN :-)
All the food items on most shops are not expensive at all.

I was born in Leicester /School ( Junior & Secoundary School )and left England 1973 to work in Germany , since then living in Germany. I came back on holliday and was very sad to see the state of Leicester City. The dirty streets / the Clock Tower / etc.
I stayed at a Hotel (8 min. from City Center ) It was OK. But the street it was on was filthy, Most of the main Roads too.The pubs, whats left of them , were not up to the standards that they should be & most of the Toilets? not worth a comment.
l love English food , but to find a good English Restaurant took some time. The City Bus system I found was very good .All in all I ask my self " What has happend to the the Leicester City I once new". Very sad indeed.
And Belgrave Road? I couldn`t find a parking spot so I drove on. What I could see while driving, apart from Trafic Lights, was very disappointing. Thats all I can say.

This year Diwali took place on Belgrave Road (The Golden Mile) which has just finished with Bollywood performance on a stage and shown on a big screen too. Finishing with a firework display. Very crowed, very peaceful and it didn't rain!
Other times I enjoy food shopping and visiting the numerous restaurants, The Curry Fever used to be my regular eating place, but after 40 years its changed hands and tonight it was fully booked, so not had a chance to eat there under the new ownership. Instead visited a number of the sweet marts, of which there are many. All good but different from each other too.
Great place to visit, and the first time I've been to the Diwali celebrations in Leicester - Great fun.

If you want to experience something of the Ugandan Asian culture this is the place in the Midlands; full of shops & eateries that cater to that community.
Has cleaned up (sterilised) a lot since when I knew it 30 years ago.
Don't expect English Breakfast here! Dozy tit.
