- Claire G1 contributionShout out to all true chocolate lovers...Every now & then you find a little gem & Cocoa Amore is one of them! Pete is passionate about his trade & this comes across in his workshops & creation. And beautiful chocolate, what more cold you want. Highly recommend attending a workshop or just pop in for a devine hot chocolate. Love the little touches like you can purchase the 'chocolate high heel shoe' this makes reference to the fact the building was a former shoe manufacturer but also a wonderful something different gift idea.Visited January 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 22 January 2023
- blg5 contributionsExcellent experience, chocolate workshopThanks to Jen who led the chocolate workshop we attended as a group. She was informative, fun and we had a great time tasting different chocolates, decorating our chocolate slabs, making truffles and having drinks to finish. Pete the owner was great to chat to also and the shop itself has a fantastic array of handmade products.Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 4 June 2023
- Harkirat Jassal2 contributionsSibling Day with a chocolate workshopAs a birthday present, my siblings booked the workshop and I have to say it was the best way to spend time as a family and enjoy some sibling time. Ashneet was a brilliant host and made the experience so lovely. The refreshment part was such a lovely way to finish aswell.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 July 2023
- bigbear2Barrow upon Trent, United Kingdom106 contributionsFriendly helpful staff. Tasty chocolatesExcellent staff who were very helpful, chatty & friendly The small cafe area was clean & set out nicely. The hot chocolate was delicious, and we enjoyed adding our own chocolate drops to the milk. We purchased some of the chocolates in the display cabinet which we are really enjoying. There is plenty of choice in the shop as theres also a selection of pre boxed chocolates, bars and bagged hot chocolate. Definitely worth popping in for a treat / giftVisited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 July 2023
- Smudge28 contributionsChocolate heavenAn excellent afternoon spent at this delightful venue. Only 8 of us at the workshop upstairs. A lovely young informative lady taught us all about chocolate with lots of tasting samples. We then continued to make our own chocolate bar and truffles. Lush hot or cold chocolate drink or gelato break included. Such a fun, afternoon. Made to feel very welcome. I would recommend anyone near to Leicester to book and give this a try.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 September 2023
- samer_architectLondon, United Kingdom9 contributionsTruly Must VisitI had an unforgettable experience at this chocolate workshop. The staff was the friendliest I've ever met, and they presented complex chocolate information in a simple yet engaging way. The high-quality chocolate tasted amazing, and I'm looking forward to visiting again for their ice cream. I highly recommend this place for a visit; it's a must-see!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 September 2023

- Ruth H1 contributionFantastic Experience for chocolate loversWe had a brilliant time learning all about the cocoa bean and then making chocolate bars and truffles. While the hand made chocolate was setting we we provided drinks and. Chocolate. We enjoyed it so much we have tickets for making a chocolate Christmas wreathVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 September 2023
- Navigate303352238521 contributionChocolate workshop highly recommendedWe attended the chocolate workshop at Cocoa Amore as part of our team Away Day. It was great - interesting and engaging and hands on. Not only did we learn about the origins of chocolate, we were able to make our own chocolate bar and truffles. We were also given a choice of different delicious hot chocolate drinks and a chocolate included in the workshop ticket. The staff at Cocoa Amore were so lovely and clearly have a passion for chocolate. Ashley was a fab teacher. I'd highly recommend the workshop (suitable for all ages I think and a great Xmas present idea) and the chocolate (I'm now addicted to the chocolate honeycomb and will just have to return for more).Visited October 2023Travelled on businessWritten 6 October 2023
- Sunil CLeicester, United Kingdom11 contributionsDo the chocolate making workshopI did the chocolate making workshop with my sister-in-law last Saturday. We started by learning a bit more about chocolate and how where it is grown impacts on the taste. There was a chocolate tasting to give us an opportunity to try chocolate grown in different regions before we began to make our own chocolate bar and truffles. Our instructor for the afternoon was Ashley and she was engaging and interesting to listen to. She really helped bring things to life. While our chocolate bar and truffles were setting we got to choose either a hot chocolate or gelato (we had gelato which was delicious) with a choice of topping and chocolate. Once refreshments were over we packaged our creations and were given a 10% discount on purchases. It was a good afternoon (2 hours total) and Cocoa Amore is definitely a shop I'll return to, to buy chocolate or just to have a hot chocolate. They also do a special Christmas chocolate wreath workshop. Highly recommended.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 October 2023

We attended a chocolate wreath making workshop at Cocoa Amore yesterday which was led by Ashni.
Our group was friends and family and we had a fantastic time. We got to sample some milk and dark chocolate as soon as we arrived. Ashni greeted us all at the main entrance and had terrific hosting skills throughout the workshop. She gave us clear instructions whilst injecting a little humour.
We were even given a cup of hot sipping chocolate and biscuit, both were delicious.
We had so much fun and plenty of laughs, it was memorable. Moreover it was a great thing to do with a big group of people. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop and we are already looking at making this an annual event.
Thank you Ashni for making it so special and thank you Cocoa Amore.

Attended 11/11. A truly brilliant workshop! The lady leading the session (Jen, I think) was so knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole workshop thoroughly enjoyable. The session has just the right balance of informative talk/tasting/making, plus you get a hot chocolate break (included with voucher). Workshop also catered brilliantly for me as a veggie/mostly vegan with vegan choc etc. Enjoyed so much we bought vouchers upon leaving so we can book onto the Easter egg workshops next year - already looking forward to it!

My husband was given a Cocoa Amore workshop experience for his birthday, I was included. We went with no expectations. My husband isn’t very keen on dark chocolate! However we had a most enjoyable afternoon learning all about chocolate, where it comes from, how it is produced and what it tasted like. We each made a bar of chocolate with interesting tasty bits in it and some truffles. Whilst waiting for the chocolate to set we had a tasty chocolate break. (Sipping chocolate or gelato). Finally we packaged our chocolate which looked good enough to use as a gift but who would want to give such delicious chocolate away! It even converted my husband.

I came across cocoa Amore when walking around with my friend looking for a coffee shop. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the lovely Jen. She brought the greatest smile and energy. She served us the ‘works hot chocolate’ and a ‘cold milk chocolate with a shot of espresso.’ In addition we were able to choose a chocolate each from the counter (these do not disappoint!!!)
The drinks and the chocolates were the best we’ve ever had!
We now go there regularly and have never ever been let down by the drinks or the customer service.
Jen is absolutely amazing at what she does and always sees to her customers exceptionally!

Absolutely brilliant chocolate making class with Ashni! Honestly, so much fun. Educational, messy and sweet or sour haha. My favourite part of the day was actually the brilliant presentation and guidance of Ashni. A true pro. We got to take some lovely hand made choc home and we're defo considering a wreath making course at Xmas with the whole family. Thank you so much Ashni.

Hi, Could you possibly let me know where the nearest Public Car Park is located? Will be attending Chocolate Workshop, this coming Sunday. Tia Jon

Hi Sammy,
Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately at the moment we are housed in an old Victorian Building which isn't that accessible and on a pedestrianised street in the City centre with little parking around us. As I build the business and draw in more business tho I am planning on investing more in the building to make it more accessible for everyone. I do have many customers who are wheel chair users that have followed me from store to store over the last 8 years and we have a small step on the way in that we are happy to help you in and out of if requested.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards

Are children allowed I would love to do this with my daughter. She is a very sensible 7 yr old?

HI
Children are allowed and welcome but there are a couple of things to consider, their is a presentation at the beginning of the workshop that lasts about 30 minutes, they have to be physically strong enough to hold a mould full of chocolate and have large enough hands to fit in a pair of gloves. If you would like to discuss things further feel free to call the shop on 01162623278.
Kind regards
