Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Outdoor play area closed utfn. Main building itself is in need of a face-lift. Not really that much to do for children. Indoor play area is OK for children up to 4 years of age.

Didn't go for a walk, although I've seen reviews that they are decent.

It just hasn't got that outdoor feel as you can hear the busy dual carriageway just a few hundred yards away.

Went here initially for a messy play session but afterwards we let our 2 year old play in the Little Otters Play Area. Great play area with interactive elements. Loved the fact that within the play area were comfy seating! Next time we hope to do a whole day there and walk around. I must agree with others on one thing. It's pretty expensive so we won't be coming here as often as we would like.

We often like to meet up with family and dogs for some fresh air and a walk round the lake, then stop off in the dog friendly cafe area for brunch. But yesterday we were charged 60p for ketchup. 60p! For a tiny jar holding about a tablespoon. The most we’ve ever been charged anywhere,, boosting the cost of a child’s meal. Surely just as eco friendly to have a large jar to dispense from? Along with the 25 % increase in parking charge ( winter charge up by 50%) we’ll think twice before planning to meet and eat.

A great place to visit on foot, on cycle or by car, part of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and plenty to see and do if your a nature lover.

The cafe serves Gluten Free, and offers outside seating overlooking the lake and waterfowl.

Friendly staff, plenty parking, popular yet room to roam free.

Decided to visit this point of interest after not knowing what to get up to on a free Saturday. From the images I had seen it looked like quite a large place to visit but there isn’t much open ground for day a picnic but they do have ample picnic tables around the front entrance. Parking is £2 for all day (even though we only stayed for about an hour and a half) if your visiting for coffee you would need to add that cost into account. Great place to take children of 3+ and up to play on the indoor and outdoor areas. I found that some signage and play areas need a little TLC just to bring it up to scratch. They have a small shop based around the natural world and some gift ideas. A decent sized cafe/restaurant for larger meals which looked ok. Good place to visit if passing through.

We were visiting the area for the first time and found the nature reserve by chance. A really lovely escape after a long drive. Peaceful and interesting. Well maintained flat paths suitable for wheelchairs and buggies - well thought out so everyone can enjoy the facilities. Popular spot for dog walkers.

Really liked the choice of different circular walks. Great facilities - smashing little outside cafe with lovely friendly staff. Good clean toilets.

Note that you have to pay for car parking.

A really lovely nature reserve. Recently helped release an injured Canadian goose there, so lovely to know it would be safe from harm. Cafe is good, nice food and the Covid issue is managed really well. Great to take children for some nature education.

Stopped in here on a walk with the dogs, well worth a stop over, nice friendly staff that were smiling, and the prices were good for food and drinks, plenty to see.

Great walk. Not far from the centre of Lincoln. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby and have some time to spare. Food could have been a little better however, still very much enjoyable
