A must visit museum.
Dec 2019
This museum is a little gem packed full of some great vehicles not just buses but bikes, motorbikes, and cars. Also memorabilia such as uniforms and ticket machines amongst other things. The member of staff (all volunteers) was very friendly and allowed me to wander at will, most of the vehicles are in running condition.I can recommend this museum highly.

Must visit
Jul 2019
For transport enthusiasts this is a must visit site. Excellent staff, very helpful but left you to wander at will. A super selection of vehicles. We visited on a Monday so it was quiet but staff were about moving some buses around the site. Another chap was doing work on another bus and he stopped to chat. It was good to view the workshops and see the various vehicles receiving attention.
Like many similar museums the volume of exhibits fills the space available so getting good photographs is difficult but that's more than made up for the diversity of the exhibits.
If there was a downside the cafe area wasn't open but one of the staff happily made us a cup of tea.
If you like anything transport related you must visit. Note that except special events they're not open on Saturdays.

Excellent place to visit
Nov 2019
I recommend this transport museum if you are staying over for a weekend in Lincoln but check opening times first. However there is more to do and see when they have a running day or special open day, see their events page on their website for exact dates. I think their November running day is one of the best they do with plenty of free bus rides to and from the city plus ones out to the country

There is so much to see here and the staff are so friendly. Not only are there vehicles but many many artefacts and wonderful photographs. Well done to all who give their time so that we visitors can enjoy what is to see. A must-visit attraction.

Great location for young people to learn about recent past
Jul 2019
My wife and I took a group of Maltese pupils (36) aged 10,11 here. The staff were very helpful in making the arrangements. We were given a useful guided tour to help set up the learning experience. It was possible to produce our own dedicated learning materials to guide the pupils around the exhibition to achieve our learning intentions. On the day of the visit the staff and volunteers were extremely helpful and interested in what the children were learning. They went out of their way to assist at every stage.

Good collection of wide area of items.my interest was mainly buses but enjoyed motor car /trade items.
Staff working friendly and very helpful.opened door so i could take photo.
Nice clean newish premises.
Shame lack of space means exhibits a bit close.probably better on open / running day.
Would recomend.

Hidden gem

So I stumbled across this museum by accident. Five pound in was worth it. Choc full of vintage buses of Lincolnshire, complete with histories and nice touches.

Would go again. see my photos for some highlights.

What a rare treat to find such a place

A small venue filled to the maximum with fantastic vehicles and transport based information which almost
feels like it’s run by a small family.
Everyone is so friendly and passionate about this collection.

They also have a restoration workshop behind the main
collection where you can see vehicles being lovingly returned to their former glory.
They also offer the opportunity to have rides on old buses
during pre-planned specific days of the year, a great opportunity for young and old to experience vehicles of years gone by.

Highly recommend this venue, it’s a small venue but with lots to see and read about.

Enjoyable hour or so.

Visit well worth an hour or so of your time. Visited during heritage days so free entry. Not sure how much it normally costs.
Run by volunteers so don’t expect slick displays and fancy exhibits but if you are happy to wander around the exhibits and soak up the atmosphere then you will enjoy it.
It would be nice if they had bigger premises so that the vehicles can be shown to their very best.

What a collection!
Sep 2019
We dropped in on this museum when travelling from East Kirby - near the Lincolnshire Aviation Collection ( well worth a visit to see the Just Jane Lancaster being restored to flying condition ) to the Peak District. Easy to find and plenty to see although as many large buses they are packed quite close and not easy to photograph. However we spent 2 hours there including looking round the workshop - a real treat as often out of bounds. Met some of the volunteers who chatted about their passion of commercial vehicles as all were bus/coach owners. Several interesting cars, vans, lorries, motorbikes as well so plenty to keep you interested. A cabinet of scratch built models in the reception area were outstanding and all made by one man. The museum has been in this site since the 60’s and is well maintained by a team of enthusiasts.
