Bransby Horses is one of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities in the UK, completely funded by the generosity of public donations.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules since we were established in 1968.

We have rescued, rehabilitated, re-homed or retired thousands of equines and we are working harder than ever to continue making a positive difference to equines wherever and whenever we can.

Between our two sites in Lincolnshire and Herefordshire we have over 400 animals currently in our care, which keeps us constantly busy.

Bransby Horses Visitor Centre near Lincoln is open to the public. A great day out for all the family with plenty to see and do.

Often take our grandchildren to Bransby as they love the whole experience from the horses and donkeys to the tea room. Car parking is easy and there is no charge to get in which is very rare these days. Our granddaughter has adopted a horse which has given her great delight and an interest. Only downside is that we might... More

Impressive! Caring people who work tirelessly in looking after the horses and donkeys. I give it an EXCELLENT rating as these wonderful people have given hope, love, happiness & security to many horses and donkeys, some of whom have had sad lives or been cruelly treated. You come away from here feeling uplifted, seeing how happy these animals are. Well... More

Even on a wet wintry day, a visit to Bransby horses kept our nieces entertained for a couple of hours. You can see the rescued horses in their stables and in their paddocks. Visitors are free to wander around on their own and can read all about each horse's history on clear and colourful information boards. The restaurant is good... More

A lovely place to pop into for coffee/lunch and get the benefit of visiting the horses and donkeys and also helping this very worthwhile charity.

I was absolutely pleased with the surprise of these incredibly intelligent horses! They are very keen on carrots and if you have some, they know before you even pull them from your bag. The walk was beautiful, lush and green. Walking to the train station was made perfect by this short-cut visit with the horses!!!

Good cafe on site. Good for children to look at horses. Chose a day when they are having a special open day!

A short trip from Lincoln takes you to a beautiful village which is home to this charity and its several hundred equines, all with a story to tell and all now enjoying expert care and attention at this lovely 'home of rest'. Well worth a visit for a few hours. Visitors can do as much or as little walking as... More
