Awful Owner. Beautifully laid out shop, lovely, helpful sales assistant. I bought a jacket which did not have a price tag on so the sales assistant had to look it up. I later discovered a sale ticket in the jacket pocket that was half the price I paid so contacted the shop. I was met with a return call from the owner with a tirade of anger that the jacket is exclusive and would have cost £700- £800 originally and should not have been sold at the price I bought it for. She persistently asked me to return it so she could re-sell it and then breached confidentiality by telling me several times that she had put her assistant on a warning. I googled the company that makes the jacket- they sell this jacket at £385. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a business owner.

I have been visiting Paula the owner of Heritage for several years now and feel that i must share my style secret. In my opinion this is the most interesting shop in the whole of Lincoln if not the County. As soon as you enter it is like stepping back in time. the shop has a country estate/gentleman's club/ Scottish castle type interior. It is choc full of exquisite unusual giftware items that would look amazing in anyone's study eg lamps wall hangings etc. However it is the clothing and handbags that keep me returning time after time. Paula has the most amazing eye for detail and you are able to purchase a whole outfit in one go ie. blouse stock coat/jacket co-ordinating hat and boots. This is clothing and gifts that you wouldn't find anywhere else. The stock oozes elegance and style and Paula is so lovely and incredibly fun. My husband loves to lounge in Paula's leather chair whilst I am choosing my purchases. If you visit one shop in Lincoln make sure it is Heritage.

Whilst visiting Lincoln in June 2016 I was thrilled to find this shop which was filled with the most beautiful country clothing and interesting gifts. I bought a waxed jacket and the owner offered, of her own volition, that she would forward a wax spay which was normally supplied with the jacket but was currently out of stock. The wax has not been sent despite me making 3 telephone calls and on each occasion I was told 'it would be in the post that day'. This proprietor can certainly 'sell' but seems unable to honour her initial promise or those she has made since. I would have bought the jacket without the complimentary wax so why did she offer it if she had no intention of posting it on?

What a lovely shop and delightful owner Paula. Full of ladies tweed country jackets, leather bags, fur accessories and various tasteful glass and giftware. We only popped in for a decanter and left with two, a tweed jacket and a military statue. A dog friendly shop.
