Tennyson's statue is just outside Lincoln Cathedral refectory and perfect for a picnic as there are benches nearby. Looks lovely in the autumn light.

A fitting memorial to Lincolnshires greatest poet, and a genius in his day. His way with words is thrilling and libersting.

If you're at the Cathedral, walk around and see the statue. Especially if you're a literature buff. Not much else to say about it. It's just a statue in the churchyard. provides a nice backdrop if you're wanting to lounge on the grass.

While walking around the cathedral we found Tenyson's statue. It is just a statue but the location on top of the hill adjacent to the cathedral is quite impressive.

We've been taking evening walks of the bailgate for years, always pass by Alfred, looking at his flowers. A few years ago a flower actually took root in his hand during the summer, I am sure it would have tickled him to know this.

The statue itself I would guess is about 7-8 feet tall and is sitting on a 6 foot concrete block
